Shannon C. Tempting Danger (World of the Lupi, #1) by Eileen Wilks Mortal Danger (World of the Lupi, #2) by Eileen Wilks Blood Lines (World of the Lupi, #3) by Eileen Wilks Night Season (World of the Lupi, #4) by Eileen Wilks Mortal Sins (World of the Lupi, #5) by Eileen Wilks Blood Magic (World of the Lupi, #6) by Eileen Wilks

Is anyone else reading the World of Lupi series by Eileen Wilks? Great world building and engrossing storylines. I love the main characters and supporting cast. Lily is a cop turned FBI agent working magical crimes. She becomes mated to Rule, a werewolf, but it's not one of the instant attraction things. The author does a great job building that relationship realistically. Books two and four are my least fav of the series (good not great like the others). I especially loved book five which was fantastic. It had a terrific romantic ending.

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments I love these books, but do think a couple in the middle were boring, but the last was super.

Yodamom I have the first three, for some reason I am waiting to start them. I read a short story someplace and loved what I read so I have been collecting the set.

Carolyn F. I also read the short story first, then Eileen Wilks changed it up a bit before she wrote the full length novel. I wish some of things she had noted in the short story would have been conveyed in the novel. She's one of my favorite authors.

Shannon C. Carolyn,
Do you recall the name of the short story? I wonder if it's still available.

message 6: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments Shannon I think the story was in Cravings. While there was a great deal the same, there were things that were vastly different.

Carolyn F. Like if she had a female, they would be a tiger shifter. I thought that was interesting. But she took that out of the novel.

message 8: by Shannon (new)

Shannon C. OK, thanks.

That will be an interesting storyline if she makes it happen in a future book. Can you imagine Rule having a tiger shifter as a baby, interacting w/all the werewolves?

message 9: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I know and a girl! They only have long living males. I think it would be great.

Jess | 3721 comments I read the first two I think. I'm not sure why I never finished the series.

Shannon C. Personally I thought books 2 & 4 were the weakest of the series (good not great like the others).

I especially loved the last two books 5 & 6.

I agree with you about those specific books.

Claudia | 4 comments The first story about Rule and Lily is in Lover Beware Anthology called Only Human. It is pretty good. But I do love all these books.

A.R. Moler | 26 comments Tied with a Bow has a Benedict story in it. It was great! (The $10 price tag for a Kindle book was a bit ouchy tho')

message 18: by Issa (new)

Issa (goddess_issa) I just read Tempting Danger this weekend and liked it so much better than I thought I would. Rule kinda bugged me in the beginning but grew on me. A couple of you mentioned 2 and 4 were the weakest of the bunch. Still worth reading or essential to read or skipable?

message 19: by A.R. (new)

A.R. Moler | 26 comments Wilks defintely refers to prior events as she progresses thru the books, so all I can say is that if you skip books there will be info gaps.
