Who was your favorite character in The Host?

I would say uncle jeb, jamie and ian because they like everyone no matter what.

Ian. Sigh. I love him so much, and was sooooo glad it turned out the way it did (trying not to give too much away for those that haven't read.) But, hooray!

I liked Wanda, Ian, Jamie, Melanie, and Uncle Jeb. Wanda was so kind and it was a great sacrifice for her in the end.

I don't know, they're all so good. Well, most are. Probably Wanderer and Melanie because they get along amazingly well. I love Ian too. and Jamie... etc.

It's weird that Ian almost killed Wanda, and then fell in love with her. It was sad when he found out her "plan" though.

I'd have to say Ian because he's always really protective and loving towards Wanda...even though most of the book she didn't return it. He was so kind to everyone.

I liked Melanie too! but the one thing i wished, was that we could get to know her a bit more, once Wanda had her own body.

so i'm a MAJOR ian lover. and (duh...) Wanda/Wanderer and Melanie. jared, oddly enough, wasn't very high on my list. there were a lot of parts where i wished i was part of the book so i could rip his eyes out or something... (woooow violent...sorry about that...) and i loved wes and lily...

okay, so if you've read the book, who hated it when wes died???!! omgosh i definitely did!!! and walter... *tear* i actually cried a little bit when wes died... but i loved the end when they found her a new body and then they found the other group of people and they had a soul with them too. yaaaaay i just loved the entire book in general...

I like both Wanderer and Melanie the best. They were so strong in totally different ways, and they both knew how to feel different kinds of loves, not just one obsessive love.

I kinda hoped Wanderer and Melanie would stay the same person...I liked it that way, the whole concept of having two beings in one body. But I guess the ending was for the best.

Actually I think I liked all the characters in The Host, they were all just so cool. Oh except maybe Sharon and uh...forgot her name, the other lady who wouldn't accept Wanderer...it was so stupid and illogical. But I guess a balance was needed, it would be unlikely that everyone would warm up to you after what your species did to their planet.
