I was surprised at how many different religions Moore squished into this book. It was a pretty humorous ride, but it was also well thought out as well. Biff actually grew on me and by the end I sympathized with his plight as the friend to Joshua (Jesus)
Trying to finish up my last book now!

Woohoo!!
I could not get into this book!! 2nd time was not a charm. I will say that I think that if I read it with a group or class, I think I would have liked it. It was one of those books that was meant to ponder the deeper meaning and I was not in the mood to ponder the deeper meaning.
With that said, there were parts that I did enjoy and when I was able to ponder (very few times with the Christmas season upon me), my ponderings were good.

The story was really really good, but I could not get past how the author smoothed over her roll in her life. I think that she did not delve into how her upbringing played into her relationships outside her family. I find it hard to believe that with all the challenges she endured with her parents and in the end her sister, that she did not have any baggage and it did not cause challenges in her life in New York. In the end, I came to terms with this and realized that the story was more about her dad rather than her, and with that I felt comfortable rounding it up to 4 stars.
