thanks, carol. it was exhausting but fortunately the weather cooperated. i can't even imagine if we had moved today. it's like a steambath outside. we have things 98% put away. we had our dining room refinished and it's being delivered tomorrow, then all we have left to do is put a few more boxes into the garage for storage. the garage is packed, you can hardly move in there, but it's all good.

And you have that gorgeous view of the water! I hope all of the books fit, at least with your Kindle the tbr pile is easily accessible! ;)

I can't imagine the weather you are all having back east. My son is going crazy in Richmond, VA and summer has barely started! We have had a terrible spring and early summer with lots of rain. But, tomorrow begins our first heat wave with temps in the upper 90's (but no humidity - brag, brag... ooopsss sorry!)

not soon enough!

Mary/Quite Contrary Phillips | 459 comments The heat and bugs are driving me bananas. I was outside for maybe 10 minutes the other day and came in with 18 mosquito bites. This morning, I was on the porch drinking coffee and two bugs divebombed into my cup.

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9507 comments Mary Q, you must make a kickass cup of coffee!

Mary/Quite Contrary Phillips | 459 comments Yes, it's true. I have a keurig coffee maker, use Caribou Costa Rica coffee, and top it off with half n half in a milk frother. It is indeed KICKASS ! Better than Starbucks...in fact, I haven't had a SB since I got the sexy keurig coffee setup in March. Life is good.

Did I mention the bugs died a horrible death by drowning?

They deserved it. How dare they disturb your cup of coffee?!

Donnajo | 4355 comments Even at the shore it's digusting. You always look to see which way the breeze (if they is one) is blowing. Then you can guess what the beach is like. We at bad storms up here but I think at the beach they only had rain 2 times if that. The AC went off for a short time and windows open on monday but I don't think it lasted long into the day.
The ocean if you go in which I don't hasn't been good. Two weeks ago I think it was (the weekend I did yoga on beach) the saturday night in Point pleasant the ocean got another person. All we heard was sirens on that side of the inlet and even at one point our side because the cops were on the getty looking for the guy thinking he would end up on our side. He went in to save someone and got caught. Sunday morning the coast guard was going over the beach real low. Still hadn't found him and no word since I don't think. Last weekend Sandy hook 2 cousins the ocean got again. And it's like that alot. People go in after the lifeguards leave at night at least most of the time that is when it happens. Then they don't have to pay. The kiddie pools have gotten alot of use this summer so far.
