Welcome Amy and Susan! Feel free to poke around in the various folders and restart an old discussion if you see something that interests you.
The voting for the next Monthly Group Read just opened this afternoon and if you are interested in something a little longer term there is the Summer Theme Read.
Glad to have you both here.

Hi Amy and Susan! Thanks for joining the group!! Nice to have you here.

I'm on Facebook as Mary Phillips, Atlanta and welcome friend adds by readers, just mention goodreads in the message. On GR i participate in another group called MT Reading Friends and on several mystery related discussion groups on Amazon.
Happy to have found this group!
Welcome Mary. Where in the Northeast? I'm originally from PA but live in the Virginia suburbs of Washington DC.

Hi Mary. I'm from NYC, but now live in Italy.
Welcome to the group.
Welcome to the group.

Donna...where in PA? I really miss PA...the weather in the south is difficult for me! Too hot!!!
Susan...Outer Banks? Wow...I have been to Corola and loved it there.
Hayes...you win the "cool relocation" prize! How do you like living there? My DH wants to see Rome during our first break in 2011.

Hi Mary, I grew up in NE Pennsylvania in Hazleton but I am writing this posting from Lancaster PA at my brother-in-law's house.
Moved to Virginia 26 yrs ago for work and less snow but of course this past Winter was the snowiest in 100 yrs!

Wish it were just a little cooler... very hot and humid these last days! lol!
And I think it's like they used to say about NYC: It's a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. It's very disorganized and very dirty!

Welcome Susan, The Outer Banks is the most beautiful of the rustic beaches. It's got a lot of interesting history and really great seafood. Don't worry about the hurricanes because If one comes in you'll have plenty of notification and time to get inland.

I've been reading a lot of forensic thrillers but I enjoy other kinds of mystery/thrillers as well. Glad to have found this group and I hope to discover other good books to read.
Hi Sai. Thanks for joining the group! I'm sure you'll find lots of new things to read. Check out the group reads and the challenges and the fun and games too!
Hey Sai, welcome! I joined this group a few weeks ago and I'm already addicted. There's a lot going on around here. I relate to your quiet nightly reading breaks :) I have a full time job in non-profit too and two kids of 1 and 2,5 yrs old at home. And love to read in between everything!
I'm Amy from Florida, age 50, married with 2 kids in college, plus a dog and 3 cats who keep life interesting. I love to read, surf the web, and watch sports. Sometimes I do all three simultaneously (watch a baseball game while listening to an audio book and playing an online game). I definitely need to get out more...
I read all types of books, but my favorites are the mystery/suspense/thrillers. I have read everything by Janet Evanovich, Harlen Coben, Lee Child, James Grippando, John Sandford and James Patterson. I'm working my way through David Baldacci, Robert Crais and Lisa Scottoline next.
I am looking forward to reading the monthly selections with the group and getting to know everyone.
