GROUP RULES:

1. Proper grammar, please. Chatspeak is not accepted. Er, at least not in the roleplays. Otherwise it's fine. In moderation. But please no eye burning and scarringly overused chatspeak anywhere!

2. Post only links to pics when posting your character. Full pics can sometimes crash people's computers.

3. Please use double parenthesis when posting comments in an rp that aren't you actually rping. Spam is inevitable, but mods please remember that you will be deleting these pesky things once they have been around for a while. (In other words, be ready to get out your spam-killing weaponry.)

4. When it comes to creating characters, they MUST NOT BE GARY-STUS OR MARY SUES. Those are perfect characters. For example: "My character, Mary, has impeccable hair and flawless skin, as well as perfect facial structure. She can capture a guy's heart with only a wink, and everyone falls for her. And while she appears fragile and small and perfect, she can really pack a punch! She can even, like, defeat trained assassins with ease!11!one1! Personality-wise, she's also perfect. She's the kindest person in the world, but also the most interesting and popular and intelligent and skilled and..." so on and so forth. Every character is going to be flawed. (Esp. in rps with characters with powers...no one is the strongest, and every power must have a weakness.)

The same goes for perfectly good vs. perfectly evil characters. No one is totally good or totally evil. There is a mixture in every character.

5. Listen to what we mods say. And obey. OBEY I TELL YOU. :P

6. Cussing is fine, but it stops at damn. Otherwise, star things out. (I don't have a problem with cussing, but other members might.)

7. Please, no short profiles with traits and commas. I want real, fleshed oout characters. ;)

8. NO INSULTING THREE DAYS GRACE, the most wondrous and epic band known to the world. I may have to ban you or something.

9. Have fun and try not to get into fights!

*Bows* Thanks. I thought they had to be redone.

message 4: by noah (new)

noah (bacteriologicallysound) Yes. I like what you said about the chatspeak thing. I hate it when in roleplays with my friends (mostly people I know/knew in real life) they use lowercase letters or string everything into one sentence or don't complete sentences or whatever. *Glares at my illiterate friends*

noah (bacteriologicallysound) That's how my friends are!!! The other thing is that nobody seems to know the difference between your and you're. I knew the difference between these and used them correctly when I was in first grade, but no, sixth seventh graders can't even use them. Here is an example of why I don't RP with my friends:

sara was sitting down she blinked "i dont know what we should do your hurt pretty badly" she said

message 7: by noah (new)

noah (bacteriologicallysound) I can't believe I just posted that, ugh, I'm tempted to delete it. But you gotta do what you gotta do. XP

Ahhhhh exactly! I have one friend that was always a grammar nazi with me, but then I changed schools and didn't see her for few years. When she transferred to my school, she had lost all of her perception of proper grammar. -.- I was so disappointed.

message 9: by noah (new)

noah (bacteriologicallysound) I have one friend who generally uses acceptable grammar. That's all. :o

I like them. XD

I HATE TEXTSPEAK AND IF YOU USE IT I WILL DELETE YOUR COMMENTS BECAUSE I WON'T UNDERSTAND THEM.

just a warning.

message 11: by noah (new)

noah (bacteriologicallysound) You won't be deleting any of my comments, I assure you. Chatspeak makes me want to barf all over the computer monitor. Oh and hi there, by the way.

HIYA AHHHH JASMINE DELETED HER ACCOUNT...D::::::

message 13: by noah (new)

noah (bacteriologicallysound) I saw. Some of the topics say they were created by "deleted character" and Jasmine was the founder of the groups so...

I think I might have her DA account though. I went there so I could get a picture of her fursona so I could make fan art for her and some other people for this group about making art.

But idk why she deleted herself. D:

message 15: by noah (new)

noah (bacteriologicallysound) I have no idea. Maybe it was virus or someone hacked her account? It happens. Or maybe her mom or dad made her get rid of her account. Or maybe she just didn't use it and deleted it.

NUUUUUUUUU

message 17: by noah (new)

noah (bacteriologicallysound) I had a friend who, before he deleted his account, deleted every single comment he'd ever made on Goodreads. He left almost no trace.

I knew someone who did that...They were an important part of an RP too. D:

message 19: by noah (new)

noah (bacteriologicallysound) Yeah. I wonder why someone would do that, though.

noah (bacteriologicallysound) I bite my wrist when I'm angry. Once during a test I needed to wash my hands but the teacher wouldn't let me, and he also said that I needed to make a second draft when I was already completely done, and I got so frustrated that I bit my wrist hard enough to leave bite marks for the rest of the day. O.O
My other creepy stress/anxiety relieving OCD things:
~Biting my lip
~Biting my nails
~Rubbing the fabric of my shorts between my fingers on one hand

I bite my nails...and about three years ago whenever I was stressed or bored and I was talking I would count the syllables of the words I was saying with my fingers.

I have/had serious problems too. :P

message 44: by noah (new)

noah (bacteriologicallysound) HI SEPH! Sorry I was gone three days. On Thursday and Friday I had to stay off the computer because we had to hire a sitter for my baby brother because his nanny is going to be gone for a MONTH and I needed to show her where everything went and where the spoons are and et cetera. Saturdfay, I felt depressed and crappy for many reasons, so I just didn't get on.

I am totally OCD. I have the everythinghastobeneat OCD. The washmyhandsallthetime OCD. And also the obssesive thoughts OCD. I can't go on heights, I can't talk to strangers, I have trouble being within a foot of the open oven or stovetop.

message 45: by Sephiroth, Poke me on forums if need me, overwhelmed by school (new)

Sephiroth (Cinderbolt) | 1199 comments Mod
I can't do heights and I RARELY speak to people I don't kow face-to-face. I prefer anonymous security.

message 46: by noah (new)

noah (bacteriologicallysound) I do what Syeira does sometimes, only I'll look for books or posters and count the number of characters in the writing. I'll count all sorts of things to make myself calm--number of light switches in a room, number of books I see on a bookcase, number of green things I see on a shelf. Also, when I'm feeling particularly anxious, I can review the squares of two in my head, and that will calm me down. I have all of the squares of two memorized up to two to the twentieth power.

My mother counts stairs every time she goes up them...even if she already knows how many stairs there are. I guess I inherited the OCD counting from her. :P

Sephiroth (Cinderbolt) | 1199 comments Mod
When I'm anxious, I fidget. I HAVE to do something with my hands or I'll go nuts, even if it's just messing with a pencil or a piece of paper.

I find PATTERNS in things. If I see a long strong of letters/words, I will count the characters and split them into even groups. Uneven/odd numbers bother me...

message 49: by noah (last edited Jul 04, 2010 01:30PM) (new)

noah (bacteriologicallysound) Me too. I find patterns in everything. My brain tries to find rhythm in every noise, even if it's random. I also dislike "irregular numbers." For instance, if I'm playing Sardines with my 10-year-old brother (and my friend) to keep him entertained, I want us to have to wait for either 30 or 45 seconds for him to hide. But they always suggest something like 25 or 35 or 47. This annoys the crap out of me. I always think that it has to be part of a pattern.
