I absolutely love horror movies, but that fact is why I don't think they're scary. xP The Japanese version is creepier, but still not that scary. And Sadako was a major cliche and mary-sue, while Samara was somewhat original.

Horror movies are getting stupid because there's only so much you can do with them; every idea now is getting more and more cliche and unoriginal. I'm taking a chance by writing a horror novel, but I've added different elements and have done other things. :D
And I didn't think One Missed Call was that scary. xD But I did like the scene where the older sister attacked the younger. (It was awhile ago when I saw it, so I don't remember much.) The most pathetic horror movie I've ever seen is probably The Messengers. Why they called it that I have no clue, and Kristen Stewart's acting... blah.
Oh, and any movie that tries to center around a little girl as being "scary" is probably going to be a cliche. I am willing to excuse The Ring because that was was back in 2002. And Orphan was also an exception. They pulled it off tremendously because technically Esther wasn't a "little girl" to begin with.

I know!!! :D When my friends and I have nothing to talk about, I'll always ramble on about his accomplishments.
I was watching a video on YouTube about Alexander, and it was sort of a comedy where these historians were making fun of him. One of them said "If I was a bisexual midget, I'd want to be called 'The Great', too!" I laughed so hard. It was amusing. xD

Hahahahaha!! If it makes you feel better, when I was a kid, I used to have a crush on the Philippine's National Hero. Jose Rizal.

That man is very very very smart. You should search him up and see his accomplishments. He's a freakin' genius! >.<

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments Well, I can't take horror movies at all. Like evil little girls is realy cliche, as you said, but it is still scary! It's like one day I'm gonna wake up and my sister is gonna be at my bedside looking down at me with this creepy smile on her face, a bloody knife in her hand and blood trickling down from her mouth.

...

OMG THAT IS SCARY.

message 262: by Kimathy (new)

Kimathy now i don't have a little sister, but my older sister is buff...that would be scary.

message 263: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments No, my sister's older than me. But I'm taller and got way more figa (figure, just spelled with an accent) than she does.

I would be scared of your sister, Rose.

But my older, older brother once almost broke my older brother's arm. It was pretty funny.

message 265: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments He's really funny. Like he'll hang my brother upside down and say. "Will! What's the capital of Indonesia?"

"I don't know Garry I don't know!"

But usually he does know the answer but when he doesn't Garry shake's him up and down.

message 274: by Xinxia (new)

Xinxia | 10 comments One simple answer. Bella. She is the worse protagonist in a book and in a movie. She has no goals, no brain, no personality. Who ever is deluded enough to call her a heroine needs to reexamine their thinking capabilities because the have none. I'd kill myself before I let any of my kids read this crap. And to think, all the trees that had to die for those horrible books to be written. *cries for trees*

On another positive note, I love the True Blood series, so I started reading the books since I heard good things about them. I love the fact that Charlaine Harris applied so many fantasy characters in one collection. They are cruel, sexual and some of them are incredibly interesting. Bill kinda gets on my nerves, but Eric, in the book and in the series. *drools*. And hey! They don't sparkle! They dismember people!!!

Are the vampires in True Blood attractive? Because I just might get into the whole "people should stick with folklore" rant again.

I was merely enjoying the fact that by adding a space in between those two united words, you'd be able to have 2 somewhat different meanings.

Xinxia | 10 comments Alexa wrote: "Are the vampires in True Blood attractive? Because I just might get into the whole "people should stick with folklore" rant again. "

Did you mean attractive in the books or in the t.v. series? In the t.v. series, Eric is hot as hell and so is Jason(though he is dumb as hell). Like Rose said, Bill is the equivalent of Edward in a way, he's just as annoying, maybe even whinier, but at least he's a not a kid repeating the same high school year for a century; and Sam is the equivalent of Jacob in the sense that he drools over the female protagonist while she doesn't even know he exists. Another difference; Bella's character is void of...hmm, everything? While Sookie is described in the book as way prettier, obviously tougher and tends to every now and then use her brain, she's not the smartest of the bunch, but at least she attempts to use her brain. Unlike Bella, whose brain is either there for decoration, or maybe its just a rumor that she even has one when in reality her head is empty. LOL!

message 286: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments That is a pretty pathetic ability... sexabilites. I'll settle for some guy that can fly or something..... Just picture him on some show:

Random person: YOU HAVE A SUPER POWER?? WHAT IS IT??

Jason: I'm good in bed.

message 287: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments No I really don't... frankly I'm still in my fangirl stage so it's hard for me to feel hard emotions for real people.. except the little man in black in Lost. HE'S SO CUTE.

Vampires aren't really supposed to be hot, but I DO have a weakness for blonds...
Oh, and I think her name is Nina Dobrez or something like that, but is she a good actress? Because she plays Mia on Degrassi and let me tell you, she is terrible. She may be better in True Blood, though, since it really depends on the character you're playing.

I don't know. xD But I'm pretty sure there's this girl that plays on True Blood that also plays on Degrassi... :/ IDK. But she's just about as bad an actress as Kristen Stewart.

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments I'm so glad my mother doesn't read Twilight--she'd probably tell me that I should make one of my main characters a vampire.

YEAH IT DID'NT! I WAS LIKE "WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO YOUNG GIRLS??? ARE THEY TRYING TO MAKE THEM PERVERTED LIKE ME???"

And the Ewdward one is covered in glitter, and Bella has the same color skin as Edward.
