I thought the ending was kind of happy in a sad way, but I'm weird like that. I was kind of upset about the incident with Kurda in The Lake of Souls, though... :( I liked him! I'm not going to say exactly what happened because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it. That really sucks.

Oh, I just finished one. I'm about half-way through all of them, and one's on hold because I don't own it (long story).

Like... maybe between 200 and 250 pages? Shorter than you'd think, but there's 12 of them. And they're all SUPER GOOD.
But if you're going to buy them or borrow them from the library, I recommend getting them in groups of three, since they read really fast. Like, get 1, 2, and 3 all at the same time, then 4-6, 7-9, 10-12... they go together like that. Seriously, 7-9 all blend together in my head, since I read them all at the same time. It's not a bad thing- it's like three parts of a big story. :D

Haha, that's a valid point, Rain. :) I wonder how SM thought this series would actually turn out. She says she didn't expect it to blow up like it did... so what was she expecting? A humble following of ZERO people, because no one liked her writing?!
Maybe when she was writing Eclipse, she saw that New Moon and Twilight were becoming "hits," so she decided to change the original plot of the third book and make it so that it has more parts that make girls' hearts go "doki-doki." Because, you know, Eclipse was when it really got bad.

I'm an anime nut and I love Asian people, but if I ever had to move to Japan (I wouldn't want to live in China, sorry), I'd have to live off of cup ramen and fried rice. :P

My friend (she's half-Chinese, half-American) gets bulled over in Hong Kong because to them she's American. :P

Actually, they're interestingly mime-rtistic. They usually have an irritating urge to prove that their country is the better of other people, often ignoring the fact that no one has spoken. (This has happened to me several times. Chinese people and Americans... Take it from me. They usually don't mix.) They also have tendencies to make rather personal and racial comments on stereotypes.
Chinese people are just... they're pretty racist. Lol
