Phil (philhappy) | 6 comments Well, he’s one of the forefathers of fantasy and created one of the most well known figures in fantastic fiction, Conan the Barbarian, so he deserves a folder.

I haven’t read any of the Conan stories in at least twenty years :S but I have the Conan Chronicles to go back to (sometime soon) .

Over the last year I’ve been reading a lot of classic Gothic and Fantastic fiction. I’m constantly surprised by the quality of these works but somewhere along the line I read Howard’s 'Soloman Kane' stories and they truly are amazing. I highly recommend them.

Any R E Howard fans out there?

Jason (darkfiction) | 3204 comments I read a lot of Conan in my early teens. It's been so long, I can't even remember them. I should pick them up again sometime soon!

Jon Sprunk | 49 comments Howard is one of my favorite authors, especially the Conan saga, but also Kane and Kull stories.
