Yes I have. I like them. I did miss Paks as a main character (she's there just not as the main focus). The "next one" is due out soon (I would have said "last one" but I thought the third was to be the last one). They pick up pretty much as the trilogy ends and follow the Duke (view spoiler)[ the King (hide spoiler)] the captains, Stamel and so on. It's/they're far better than the Gird books that are called vols. 1 and 2.

I am currently reading Hannu Rajaniemi's The Quantum Thief and am greatly enjoying it at the moment =)
I am still reading Janny's book Curse of the Mistwraith. Love it...but my job is totally getting in the way.I should be starting Sheepfarmer's Daughter....and wanted to join another group with Farseer 3, Assassin's Quest.
How to do this .....without resigning from my job.

¡YES!
;D
I am just about to start
by Margaret Atwood. This will be my first Atwood book and I am very excited about it.

I'm getting ready to start A Storm of Swords and enjoying the series so far. Almost finished watching season 1 of the HBO show, which was pretty faithful to the first book.
Brenda wrote: "Let us know how you get on. From reports of other readers, I will probably never pick up THRONES."your loss
Reading a bunch of stuff with R.R. Martin's A Storm of Swords leading the pack.. man this stuff becomes more than real in your head once you start, its quite magnificent!
Brenda wrote: "Let us know how you get on. From reports of other readers, I will probably never pick up THRONES."I'm right there with ya! Well, in reality, I read the first one. Actually purchased the 2nd and just could not read it. Feel absolutely no reason to immerse myself in this world.
That being said, I totally get why others actually *love* it. It is just not for me.
Cindy wrote: "Glad I'm not the only one who dislikes modern cursing in fantasy. "Me too! If it is used in a novel it totally takes me out of the story. And may actually cause me to give it a lower rating.
I just finished Divine By Mistake. I was surprised to see that I actually loved it. It is very romancy - but the main character is just so darn snarky and lovable all at the same time. Don't think I will read the 2nd in the series as I think it takes the intrepid heroine to a place I do not wish to follow. I want to remember her as I left her.
Reading The Five Elements. Due to the brashness of the last book - and the book hangover - Getting into this is taking me a tad longer than usual. From what I have seen thus far, I think I will enjoy it.
And, I have to have it finished by Tuesday - so I can jump into Frost Burned. Yippee! I am hoping Ms. Briggs got all of her transitioning done in the last book and this one will return the series to its former glory.
I just finished The Child ThiefForget the Disney version or all the children’s books! This is a very dark, twisted re-telling of the Peter Pan story that is simultaneously heartbreaking, horrifying and beautiful. Brom’s writing is exactly like his art work. http://www.bromart.com/childthief.html This novel was disturbing and I am surprised that I liked it as much as I did. I think it is because it is so well written. Brom skillfully combines Celtic folklore with Urban fantasy and Horror.
Carol wrote: "Wow, sounds interesting, Jalilah."Yes, I am very tempted to suggest it for a group read!
Nermin wrote: "I'm reading The Blade Itself."Hmmm. How are you liking it? It has been on my "to-read" shelf for a while, but I just haven't gotten to it. Just not totally convinced it is the type of book I will enjoy.
I've only read a quarter of the book but i really like it. i don't know what kind of books you enjoy, but if you enjoy a song of ice and fire series i think there's a good chance you'll like it too. it's quite gory, you know, just like ASoIaF series.

I found the second two books in a thrift store, but for some reason couldn't find that one. :/ Disappointment. How is it?
I'm reading Finders-Seekers.
Hi, L.Y.I'm really enjoying Janny's book. As usual..lots of detail about horses.
(I'm a horse person in my heart....just never had one.)
Speaking of second hand book shops.....I have just discovered... 2nd and Charles new to my area.It is book heaven.
Mike (the Paladin) wrote: "I liked
better than SoIaF...though that may be just me."My husband is reading that right now.
yeah, I'm slowly turning him into a reader. (yaaaaay! I'm a book pusher!)
I'm reading The Key of the Keplian
I've considered that a couple of times MrsJ. I can't decide on it. I see you gave it a high rating, but I was never a true fan of AN. I always like the ideas of her books but didn't get into a lot of them (though I did like the first few of the Witch World series.)

At least, the main character is an "alien" to Witch World from Earth.
I highly recommend it...but I can understand if you want to pass.
Amazon has a look inside feature here: http://www.amazon.com/Key-Keplian-Sec...
I felt the writing is pretty small but it gives you a look see to most of the 1st chapter. Sadly, she doesn't get to WW until chapter two. :-(
I am currently reading Chobits: Omnibus, Vol. 1
. It is inexplicably captivating, even though it can be quite (12 year old boy) juvenile at times.
I just finished the first 3 books or the Lorien Legacies, I Am Number Four, The Power of Six, and The Rise of Nine. I really like the series, can't wait for the next in the series this fall. Now I am going to go back and read the rest of Deliriumthat I started a few months ago and got distracted from half way through.

Guess it's good I like horses! I'm planning on reading the second one soon. I'm hoping I don't get lost, reading them out of order, lol.
I am just starting
bySeressia Glass up to now it seems original and a lot of the magic seems to be based on Ancient Egyptian Mythology.
Right now I'm reading One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, and after that I'll probably be moving on to The Book Of Jhereg by Steven Brust.
Bryan wrote: "I'll probably be moving on to The Book Of Jhereg by Steven Brust."I recently read that one. I think it was too built up for me. By that I mean that too many people told me I would love it. :) So, I didn't love it as much as I thought I should love it. The 2nd is, however, taunting me. :) Let us know what you think.
I'm re-reading all of Kate Daniels + the side stories. :-D
And I got hubby to buy the audio books of Kate 1+2.
Yes. I do have hard copies.
Yes. I do have ecopies.
Yes, we now have audio copies, too.
Don't Judge Me. :-P

This is how I feel about Mercy. Since I read the first Kate book when I was in the hospital, I feel like I need to try again to get an honest feel. I'll jump in book 2 soon as I clear my current read list. I want to savor them. And, MrsJ, it is mostly cuz you love them so much! ;)
Finished Magic Strikes on to: Magic BleedsSigh. Took til the 3rd book to get it. But I got it. :)
Glad I stuck with it. Trying to decide if the first one needs a re-read.
Sonja--probably not. There were a couple of great parts--specifically, meeting Curran in Unicorn Lane--you'll re-read some time, but I would suggest onward!

I'm eying Iron Kissed trying to decide to read it or not. I own the entire series (sadly my formats are mixed between PB and HB :( But I've only read the first couple.
Yeah, I'm a book hoarder. lol!

I highly recommend reading Iron Kissed. I love Mercy. I enjoyed all of those books so much. River Marked (#6) was my least favorite - it was a story in transition. I am trying to remember just how the story went in Iron Kissed. . . But all the books are great.
I am actually sitting her comparing Kate and Mercy . . . so many similarities . . .
Oh, and, this is why I went to digital books only. You can only move a library so many times before you cry "uncle".
