I didn't read it yet! It might take months until I get the book! I won't post anymore till I read the book, cause I don't want to spoil it.
huh? I haven't read it yet either. *yawn* wow it's late!! I'll post again tomorrow! G'night! "D
gah!! I'm at a problem... there's no way I could buy it...
hmmm... i dont know how i feel about a sequel. i think it would be better if she just left it as is, no offence to you or your opinion. and about the alien attack thing, the souls were gentle, kind aliens, remember? so yeah. and the love story was great. i liked it much better than the twilight books. i mean, the twilight love story was too... too... fierce and... hard. if you know what i mean. this love story was slow, and gentle, and perfect. i liked the book a lot.
wow. that is good!! I saw on a weith Q&A for Stephenie and she said she might work on a sequal soon!! I think that it would be pretty cool, because I really want to know what happens with the other humans they found. I think that one of the souls that is with the humans may betray them
hmmm... a sequel, huh? i dont know if i would read it, quite honestly. i mean, i really like the ending of the host. i had no questions after finishing. the thing i have noticed about stephanie meyer is that its not the quality of her writing that makes her books best sellers and popular. because, if you really pay attention, the writing is a bit ammaturish. i'ts her stories that carry her career.
So for most of the book I wasn't that interested, going through the motions you knew how it was going to be...BUT the second half was really good and the end was the best part. I ended up really liking the book. I heard most people were pissed that Mel and Jared don't have sum up of how they reunited but it wasn't really about them so it didn't bother me. The book was about Wanderer and I had no lingering feelings of what happens with who. I love that Ian and Wanda end up together and find more people. I have to say the last quarter of the book is the best and the last three or four chapters are my favorite.
I <3 THE HOST!! sooooo amazing and exciting and romantic and unpredictable. AWESOME. i liked it better than twilight, even.
I thought it was funny hearing Wanda's thoughts about how her new host at the end is physicly impaired!
yeah. the body that she was put in after, bugged me. i mean, it said that the whole side of her face could fit into ian's palm or something like that. i mean, what? did they put her into a two year old?
17 year old, but it did kind of bug me too. It's really cool that she was young and beautiful and all that, but someone a little bit more active and stronger would have been nice. I keep imagining Ian as 20 or so years older than her because of that.
that is a little strange ...but it's better than her, like, dying, which was what i expected to happen.
I LOVED THE HOST!!! BEST BOOK IN THE WORLD!! Better than twilight, even!! XD Yeah and I agree. Jared sucks. I love Ian. XD And the ending was SO intense! XD
But yeah...it did bug me the body they put her in. I didn't think of her as blond and doll-looking, and I wish she wasn't weak. And it's a bit strange that she's so much smaller than Ian...Okay, I was a bit confused at the end, when Wanda lied about her age to Ian, saying she was turning eighteen. She said she "gave herself an extra year." But when The Host started, at the beginning, Melanie was 17. And at least a year has passed from the beginning to the end. So that means that Wanda WASN'T lying! She was telling her true age!
And actually...When I read the part where Wanda supposedly "dies," and then the book skipped a few blank pages and I thought it was the end (haha tricky Meyer) I was happy with that ending. Then I saw that she was still alive, and for some reason I started crying. I don't know why. Don't think me cruel- I didn't want Wanda to die! I have no idea why I started crying when I found out she was alive. It was so strange, I was confusing myself. :-/
But I love the ending. XD
happy tears? XD idk ...yeah meyer had me thinking she had killed off wanda, and i started crying. i was sooo sad. honestly, i didn't know how else she could end it, but ... well, she proved me wrong! :D haha
and yeah it is kind of irritating, what body she was put into at the end. but i think it was just meyer's way of showing us that ian loves her no matter what body she's in. awwww ... XD
i was kind of expecting the ending. all throughout the book, i was always thinking, "the only way for this to have a happy ending is for wanda to be put in a separate body, and for melanie to have her own." and i was right! XD yeah i guess that's why meyer did it, so we could see that ian doesn't care what body she's in. but i wonder if that's how meyer pictured wanderer- a doll blonde. that's not how i would have pictured her, but oh well...i think she's stronger than that.
At the end of The Host, Wanda is really 17. Remember we are not talking about Wanda the soul, but the body she is in. Melanie was 17 at the beginning of the book and by the end she was probably 18, but Wanda got a new body. This body is 17, but she added a year so that Ian, obviously older than 20 (it is killing me not knowing how old), wouldn't feel guilty about being with her. Does that answer your question?
Yes it does, thank you! I thought that Wanda was eighteen at the end, that's why I was confused. :DI wonder if there's any way we can find out how old Ian is??
