Rachel | 30 comments Hello, fellow Twilight haters. I was looking at one of my friend's profiles when I saw this and I simply had to join. I used to be one of the Twilovers-or, as I like to call them, Twitards-but after I read all of them and got over my "freakout stage"(those were dark times, my friends...) I realized how bad they were. But the thing I cannot stand the most is the movies. And even more than that, the girls who go to see them and come out saying, "I can't wait to see who Bella chooses." I always go up to them and say, "Bella gets pregnant." I love their expressions. But, y'all probably hear all of this often, so I digress.
Your fellow hater,
Rachel

Good job. I always get into fights with my friends with Twilight vs. Harry Potter. Seriously, Harry Potter. How can you even compare them?
"J.K Rowling proved that some young adult novels can be 500 pages. Stephenie Meyer proved that some shouldnt be." I don't know where I found this quote, but it has sorta become my motto...

Laura | 170 comments lol i love it :) i find it so hard not to judge people that think hp is rubbish and like twilight.

Well it's really easy to judge them...

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments It sure is...

And velcome Rachel!

message 7: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade | 1257 comments VELCOME, RACHEL. MOO HA HA. *strokes beard sadistically*

Just kidding! I don't have a beard. That would be freaky. (You guys! I remembered to NOT superglue the beard to my face this time! I'm so special.)

Anyway, welcome to the group! You'll find many converted Twihards just like you! Like me, for example. ^^

message 8: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments Oh, I was scared when you said "*strokes beard..*"

So scared.

message 9: by Keara (new)

Keara (kearachristine) I'm a converted Twitard. :D

message 10: by Rachel (last edited Jun 23, 2010 07:22PM) (new)

Rachel | 30 comments Thanks, y'all for welcoming me!! And, it would be weird if you had a beard, Nightshade...

message 11: by Keara (new)

Keara (kearachristine) Not if you really knew Nightshade. It's not weird for her at all...

message 12: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade | 1257 comments Nope! See, last time, I had the beard for a while, because I forgot that I wasn't supposed to use the extra-strength superglue on my skin. This time I remembered! :D

message 13: by Keara (new)

Keara (kearachristine) Yep... she remembered...

message 14: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 30 comments Good memory. You remind me of my friend Katie...she would do something like that.

message 15: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade | 1257 comments Heh heh. Thanks. ^-^

Unfortunately, I forgot to put on pants this morning take my crazy meds Actually, I don't know. I probably forgot one thing or another, though. XD

message 16: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 30 comments Either way, it's bad to forget them.

message 17: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade | 1257 comments Mmhmm. *nods vigorously*

By the way, I was kidding about the beard and the glue. You knew that, right? o.O

message 18: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 30 comments Yes, I knew you were kidding. If you weren't, I would be worried.

message 19: by Rose (last edited Jun 25, 2010 06:56PM) (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments See!! When you said the beard thing for a moment I thought you were serious!

message 20: by Kimathy (last edited Jun 25, 2010 06:51PM) (new)

message 24: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments ........Meh.

And I'm not even the one that was corrected.

message 25: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 30 comments My sister literally told me that if I wanted to text her when she went to college I had to use correct grammar and spelling. Capitalization, too. It drives my friends bonkers.

message 26: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade | 1257 comments Wait, it drives your friends crazy if you use grammar/spelling during text, OR it drives them crazy when you don't? o.O

One of my friends uses ALL punctuation while texting, but NO spaces between sentences. It will literally look like this:

Hi Nightshade!Oh my gosh I haven't talked to you in forever!I just got out of school, although you probably knew that already, lol!!You've been out for like two weeks, right?I'm so jealous:)!!!

USE SPACES. AAAAGGGGHHHHH. *head explodes*

It drieves them crazy if I use grammar/spelling during texts and emails. especially my friend Victoria.
That must be SO annoying. I think I would kill her.

message 29: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 30 comments Come on, I had just woken up!

message 30: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade | 1257 comments We're Grammar Nazis! The punctuation police NEVER SLEEPS.

message 31: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade | 1257 comments ~*~ Candy-Rain ~*~ wrote: "Um... wasn't she using spaces?"

Not between sentences. Hmm, it doesn't look so bad online, because the text is bigger... but on a little tiny phone screen, all the words are smashed together and it kills my eyes. :(

message 32: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 30 comments I told my friend that I was a Grammar Nazi once, and he thought I meant a real Nazi. Then I told him I was Jewish.

message 33: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 30 comments But the thing is, I am a subject of irony. I am Jewish and German.

Once my dad got into a fight with a guy in a pub over our last name. It went something like this:
Guy: Williams? That's a Welsh name.
Dad: Yeah, but we're German.
Guy: That can't be, it's a Welsh name!
Dad: I know that, but we're GERMAN!
Guy: IT'S A WELSH NAME!!
And so on and so forth.

message 34: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 30 comments I wish I could have been there, but alas, it was a business trip. We have a lot of funny stories from when we travel, including the moving walkway incident when we went to London...

message 36: by Jael (new)

Jael | 1 comments I'm new to Good Reads. I was browsing some of the forums. I just had to join this one. I don't get the hype about the books or the movies. I watched five minutes of the first movie. Those are five minutes of my life that I won't get back. Perhaps if the acting was better, I wouldn't be so against it.

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments Woah, PJ. If you don't wanna use really correct grammar, just please try to avoid serious TXT talk... it bothers many of us.

Well, anywayz, hi all you guys!

message 41: by Keara (new)

Keara (kearachristine) Nightshade wrote: "We're Grammar Nazis! The punctuation police NEVER SLEEPS."

*SLEEP

Police is plural, so the verb is singular.
