Join Some Of The GoodReads e-book groups

I sincerely believe that the GoodReads e-book groups are well run and the group owners/moderators are respectful of copyright.

However, there are a few which might be misunderstood by new members and maybe a post here and there ought to be flagged by a member for official scrutiny.

This one might be easy to misunderstand...especially since a lot of unwitting pirates seem to be under the impression that a book is out of copyright as soon as it goes on sale to the public.

Description includes: eBook sources (no, not only those free sites for out of copyright books)


No particular reason to worry about this group below, except that some self-avowed pirates believe that fantasy/erotica romance novels are "knowledge" (Carnal Knowledge, perhaps???) and should be free for everyone who can afford a computer and a router.

The GoodReads librarians and moderators are very good indeed, but they do need help in locating some of the problematic posts that misguided members make from time to time.

This one looks very dubious, since there is a thread explaining how to download DRM'd ebooks from the internet.

Sometimes, members who don't realize that if something is too good to be true it is probably illegal will recommend a pirate site.

Here are a couple that ought to be flagged if seen before too many innocent readers are tricked into visiting these illegal sites.
