What else are you reading? (June 2010 - May 2013) *closed*

Yep, I'm reading Dark Desires After Dusk by Kresley Cole right now and afterwards I'll finish Wolf at the Door by Christine Warren. Have been reading almost only m/m for a while, and I need a break from it, so I'm switching between the 2 genres.

I don't read much m/f. But I did recently read Cherise Sinclair's latest in the Shadowlands series, Make Me, Sir."
What's it about? Sounds like bdsm though =[

Loved Chasing Smoke and u r right; now a days M/F doesn't look as attractive as M/M :P

Vampire? I'm in :D

Good choice Arzu :D I guess I should take a break too; because I'm getting bored so definitely in need of some change :D

Wow Long List; thanks Heather :D

Lucky girl, you. There are two more books to go. I read #2 but haven't read #3 yet. Love dark, scary Raphael. Hope you liked it!

WOW the blurb looks good

I'm not familiar with her at all, though I have read all the other PNR authors you listed EXCEPT Rachel Mead. I'm anxious to see the reviews on the next Black Dagger Brotherhood book before I invest in it. I keep thinking the series may be due to go down hill, but I hope I'm wrong. Anybody who saw Dane's review of Dark Lover, the first in the the series, Ignore it!!! I gave it five stars.

Ah.. I read it... I love gay wedding-themed stories. It was not too great but it was a light moderately enjoyable read

The Downside Ghosts series is different from anything I've ever read. Its post-apocalyptic where ghosts have risen and killed like 60% of earths population. I must warn you that the MC is a drug addict. Very interesting world Kane has created.

I plan to read A Vintage Affair someday, but I'm not a drinker either, so any references to wine will be lost on me as well. But that's what happens almost no matter what you write about. Some people will get it, and others won't.

LOL, these are just a few of the authors I like to read!! God give me some hot paranormal shifters!! :)

Know what you mean. I started skipping some scenes and getting bored, so that was a HUGE warning sign for me.

At the moment I'm reading
Here Comes the Groom by Karina Bliss. I really liked What the Librarian Did, and I heard that Groom was good, so I jumped on it. Not loving it. It's friends to lovers, which is normally a theme I love, but this one isn't doing it for me. At 60 pages in (on a 180 pg book) there's no romantic tension at all. Not good.
I haven't read the review of Dark Lover, but I know I didn't particularly care for the book. I continued with the series because I wanted to read Zsadist's book, and really liked books 2 and 3. (Rhage and Zsadist) The rest of the series has been a little meh for me. At this point I'm a couple books behind; I think the last one I read was Phury's book, which was pretty bad IMO. I've got Rehvenge's book (Yes, I know, Spell Check. It's not my fault.) in the TBR, which I will probably get around to eventually. I'm not sure if I'll read beyond that.
The most recent m/m books I've read are Black Gold and Bareback. I grabbed Black Gold because for some reason I'm really into rockers right now. Plus, have you see the gorgeous cover? (Yes, I'm shallow.) It was OK, but awfully talky. I liked Jett for the most part, but Goldie seemed uncomfortably young sometimes. Bareback just about broke my heart. And I could have done with a little less sex. (Something I very rarely say.) But overall an excellent read.
I can't have alcohol either, and wasnt' really a wine drinker when I could, so wine references in any book are pretty well lost on me. I got the point with the Arbor Mist in Strawberries for Dessert, but that's about it. So the wine references in A Vintage Affair will probably fly right by me. But I survived A Discovery of Witches, which was written by a wine blogger for cripes sake, so I think I'll get through AVA when the time comes.

That's exactly what's happening to me =[

Bareback will ALWAYS be my top favorite :D

Yeah, I think I'm going to like this series...it's my first Nalini Singh book, for some reason I've put off the Psy Changeling books...Elena is a teeny bit frustrating...but I'm not even halfway in to the book yet...Mac pissed me off in the first Fever book...so I might have to give Elena some more time :) Love Raphael though *THUD*

I loved Fever!"
I think my problem with Elena is along the lines of...'Why are you fighting the super hot archangel that wants to get it on with you silly silly woman?' :) But other than that, I'm liking the ladies in this book. I like Sara too.
Ohhh and Fever...I still get goose bumps when I think of Mr. Barrons :)

Okay Okay, I'll stop reading Sno Ho #2 (which by the ways is some quality reading) and go back to the angels :)

At this moment I'm reading a m/m Chasing Smoke But... a little over a week ago I finished a paranormalTaken by Midnight. I think it was book eight in the series and very good as always with Lara Adrian. I have about half a dozen m/f paranormal series I follow.
For about two years I inhaled historical romances from all the top authors. I think I read 28 by Lisa Kleypas alone, but now I've replaced those with m/m and not looking back. :)
