What else are you reading? (June 2010 - May 2013) *closed*
I just listened to it, and I'll probably re-read it in May with the rest of you. I read it when it first came out and it IS as good as I thought/remembered. :)
Jordan wrote: "Finished CUTYS a few days ago and am horribly sad as a result. I loved it very much and didn't want it to end."I just love it when books have this effect on me: so many feelings around, such an enrichment... Great!

I found myself craving Mary Calme's books after. Which is really funny because I don't normally have an affinity for them. LOL Therapy of some kind needed to recover from the, intense roller coaster ride, reading adventure!

Oh no! I was going to listen to more of CUTYS for half an hour before going to sleep but now I don't dare to!

I don't think I cried reading CUTYS, but I'm going to listen to the audio soon so we'll see how that goes. I don't need to be crying during my commute. ;)

It's nice notice that so many of us are currently reading/listening to Come Unto These Yellow Sands. :-)
I just started Slam! which is out today. I have been looking forward to this one.I'm listening to Frost Burned, the latest in Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series. It's good so far.
This week i read Camp Hell (which i found to be the best in the series so far), then Baby, It's Cold Outside (which was exactly right :-)), Rifter #2 (wonderful!). Slam! is next on the list while continuing those other series. Lots of catching up to do, yay! :-) i love it when i have so many really cool books to look fw to, a bit overwhelming but in a good way.

Oh, Camp Hell was good. But I kinda like GhostTV the best, I think. Mostly for the out of body experiences Vic has.

What KC said. I've definitely reread DG #1 multiple times. I liked the other books in the series, but the first was/is my favorite.

I think there's one more book coming after GhostTV. At least one more. I'll be sad when it's officially over.

Woah it's crazy that you guys are talking about the PsyCop series because I just got done reading PsyCop like 15 mins. ago and was going to post about it. I'm trying to refrain from buying the next book, Criss Cross, until pay day lol. I really like Jacob and Vic.

I'm so glad CUTYS is having a little flutter. :-)
The audio is neck and neck with All She Wrote. ASW is about 20 units ahead. That's really wonderful to see because the book was one of my slower selling titles.

Right now, I'm reading Blacker than Black - I'm not that far in, but, bloody hell, that one's a trip! Very unique, that's for sure! Seems like Twilight hasn't turned me off vampire stories for good ;D

Thank you, Valerie. You're a peach.

Blacker than Black was a lot of fun, wasn't it? A real twist on vampires or aliens, or whatever. I really liked the world Rhi built there.
I finished
this evening. Lisa Henry really doesn't write easy books. I read them through, driven and staying up too late, kind of holding my breath. If I just read a synopsis or content list, not noting the author, I'd likely pass. An interesting collaboration with J.A. Rock.

So now I have these books lined up on my reader, ones I've been looking forward to for awhile and can't decide where to go next.
Plus I have the last two Cut & Runs,
and
.
I read the first books in the series as soon as I could get my hands on them, then kind of cooled. Maybe I need to be in a certain mood for extended relationship drama? Or maybe its symptomatic of my reading habits in the past couple of years. I'm a book or three behind in a number of formerly read-it-with-wet-ink series.
Sometimes the series seems to have reached stasis (George R.R. Martin's Song of Fire and Ice books). Or a writing style I always thought was charming or clever now just annoys me (Neal Stephenson, Seanan McQuire), or I catch myself hoping the author will kill off a main character (Wynn in the Hendee's Noble Dead). Curmudgeon-y mood much? ;-)

Karen - I have the same books as you do waiting on my Kindle, with the exception of the Eden Winters book. I also have The Paris Affair by Teresa Grant waiting (another in a series I love).I think I'm going to save The Paris Affair until I have time to re-read all the earlier books in the series. I'd like to re-read Stars & Stripes before reading Touch & Go. So now it's a choice between Slam and Kestrel's Chance. Tricky!
Harper Fox has posted that her first historical novel, Brothers Of The Wild North Sea, will be out on 11th June!
I have Slam, Touch and Geaux and Kestrel's Chance waiting as well, three of my favourite writers at once! I also have the latest Amy Lane waiting, wich makes it four favorites. It is fun but a little frustrating to have so much good reading to look forward too, frustrating because it is hard to decide which one to start with. So many books, so little time - damn my job for stealing valuable reading time. Btw, having vacation didn't help either, too busy having an adventure to be able to read much ;)As so many others I am fan of the Cut and Run series, without really understanding why I like them so much, it must be something with the dynamic beteeen Ty and Zane that appeals to me. Truth be told, I often find the plot ridiculous, the mystery is hardly a mystery at all and I often wonder if this is how the KGB really operates, then it is a miracle they are able to solve any crimes at all. And the writing is not without its flaws either, although it seems to me it gets better for each book. But, despite its flaws, I love that series! Go figure ;)
Susinok wrote: "Blacker than Black was a lot of fun, wasn't it? A real twist on vampires or aliens, or whatever. I really liked the world Rhi built there."It sure ist!! I've read about at third now, and I (again) almost couldn't put the book aside to go to sleep. Although it was much too late anyways. Although they're called vampires in the book, it's so different that I wouldn't even classify it as a vampire story. Which is great, because the typical vampire thing - well, it'd have to be hella good for me to enjoy that ;D
Right now I'm reading Vanity Fierce by Graeme Aitken. My goodness but the narrator is a crazy, entitled, delusional little git. But fun. :-D He'll just come out with stuff that makes you go "Oh my god, you're insane!" as if it was totally normal. (view spoiler)

Slam and Kestrel's Chance were supposed to be next on my list, but i got sidetracked with another Don Strackey novel. I find Stevenson's writing irresistible. There was this little phrase "an astonished looking little Ford" which is great generally and because i do that sometimes - assign facial expressions to cars. It's a weird little thing, but it's one of so many excellent turns of phrases i enjoy in Stevenson's writing.

I am reading and loving Slam!. I know deep in my bones that I'll have to re-read Muscling Through when Slam is finished. I just know it. Plus I have Harper Fox's Kestrel's Chance. Oh oh oh British m/m. I just love it.

I took advantage of Riptide's sale and got Abi Roux's The Gravedigger's Brawl. The storyline really appealed to me. I'm enjoying it so far.

Read CUTYS a while back and loved it (and that one also made me cry!) but haven't managed to re-read it yet - I will do soon (preferably after fixing the icecream/whisky error!)
