I've finished A Dangerous Thing on audio book. I think Chris Patton's narration is better this time and I thought he was good with Fatal Shadows. Can not wait for The Hell You Say. Hope it's sooner than later!

Oooh, that's a good rule to follow. Some day when I have more money and can afford to buy random books. I'm also helping myself by being very picky about what I buy. And if I'm not sure about it, and the library can buy it for me, I let them buy it for me to borrow.

My favorite Brotherhood books are the first 3 and nr. 10. But over all, I still love the first book the best. I am looking forward to the next a lot. I am not sure when we in Australia will be able to get the audio version. I might have to ask an usa friend to download it for me. I so hate those restrictions.

Maybe to build up excitement? However, it's also an invitation to pirate - in this day and age, people want their stuff immediately, and any delay that's artificial has the potential to serious piss people off (I'm one of those who want everything NOW and why wait, though I'd rather hold a grudge than go pirate).

So far it's reading well, and I think Ward is not going to leave us hanging with the details. It is also nicely following the storyline that has built up so far. Ward has a way of reminding you what has gone before without hitting you over the head with it. I appreciate that since my memory is so terrible.

The only reason why its hard for me to choose is because I wont have additional money to buy the second book till thursday... and I'd hate to finish it and start something else.

I was trying to space them out between other audio projects...plus budgetary considerations. At the end of this year I'll have 12 audio books out -- plus the ones Carina Press did. That'll be a pretty good backlist in audio.

That's impressive considering that you started with these audio projects only last year. Seeing you doing this has made me realize how much work it must be for the author. It certainly isn't as easy and fast as one would think it would be!

12 in a year - exactly the number of Audible credits I have per annum. Serendipity! As long as they include the whole of A&E and H&M (or am I being too greedy?).

I'm always jealous when someone is going to read a book that I love for the first time... or see a movie I love for the first time. That's one of the things I love about music - it's usually as good (or better) as the first time it's discovered.

I can sometimes get a little bit of that 'Ooooo what's going to happen next?!' flavor if it's a long time between readings or viewings.

If you are a part of the Audible craze, Audible has The Maltese Falcon. They have it in three versions, so take a listen and choose your favorite narrator. It was a lot of fun. I haven't read any of his books yet, so I know someone else will let you know the score there. :)

It should be all the AE books this year. Hopefully the third H&M though it's still too early to contract for that.
