Just say the Devil happened to be female and you don't want to refer to her as "Devil" or "Beelzebub". What might you call her?
I wondered about that one. But I don't even like the name Lucy. Maybe she'll insist on being called Lucifer even though she's a girl. lol

HA! Sorry, funny story about that...

I can't take the name Lucifer seriously anymore because of an inside joke.

I hate the name Lucifer"
I looked up the word "dark", and these were some female or unisex names that came up. Tell me if it helps. =D
Darcy
Daray
Kieran
Lamya
Tynan
Morrisa
Tamal
Tamesis
Kiara
Devin
Does that help out?

While we're on the subject, Fate needs another name to go by. (Some of you have read Vigil - if you haven't, well, read it. XD) It's kind of like Amy's problem.
Darcy? *raises eyebrows* Yes, Darcy, can you please not torture the soul? Would Darcy like to come torture the soul of Mr. Darcy?
sorry. Just throwing that out there.
Kiara is nice.
Hahahaha. So funny.Kiara is an awesome name, but it sounds sort of sweet to me. My friend who is good at creepy things and she says maybe Lucila or Leerel. I'm not sure about the second one, since she said she came up with it only because it sounds right somehow. And it has to do with the accents in the word fit the theme of the names in the original story and was rooted after the name Lucifer. Yeah... It might be a bit far-fetched? I just ranted a lot because Kat does when she talks to me and she says I am a bad translator when I pick parts out of her explanations.
A useful rant, though. Hmm. Maybe she'll insist on being called Lucifer and people will try and annoy her by calling her Lucy. Because I will never call ehr Beelzebub no matter how pissed I get. : )
Okay… That was hard to tell. Most minds (e.g MINE) can comprehend Beel and Bub. Ze doesn't come through.
You should slim down the choices. Take a few that you really like and present it for us to choose/vote. You could even put up a poll :)
I personally like Lucila. A while back, I wrote a story and the character's name was Lucinda...not sure if that would be helpful to you. If you like it, you can use it. If not, it doesn't matter...
