Basically ... there are three divisions. In the first year, you're in Division I, in second and third years you're in Division II, and the fourth year you're in Division III. In Division I, you take classes from different areas of study––so, you know, you try new stuff and see what you like. In Division II, you have a "concentration" which is kind of like a major except it's not as binding. So like, next year I'll probably take more writing classes since that's what I'm most interested in. In the third Division, you take some classes but mostly you're focusing on a year-long independent project that can be about pretty much anything, as long as you get approval from your two faculty advisors (who you choose yourself). Okay, that wasn't a short explanation at all. But hopefully it made a little bit of sense. :P
