Thank you Cheryl.

This is my novel trailer on Youtube. Explains with words and imagery part of the storyline. I made another one that is longer for the intrepid ones who love visuals.

Photography is all mine also. Music by Johanne S. Bach, Air on G-string. Please enjoy!

R.D. LeCoeur | 28 comments Hi,
just to let all you James Masoner's know that my latest tome, The Spartacus Prophecy has now hit B&N, Sony Bookstore, Kobo et al.
http://img2.imagesbn.com/images/95430...
The real life of Spartacus was far more complex than Hollywood would have you believe. There really was a Spartacus & a prophecy and no body of the gladiator was ever found.
The story covers an epic journey of one man’s struggle against oppression.
Spanning two continents, the fight, flight, love and betrayal across the ancient landscapes, form the backdrop to this compelling novel.

J.E. Taylor (jetaylor) I have a Valentine's Day release as well - END GAME - the final in the games trilogy came out Monday. The ebook is available, however the paperback is still waiting for that magic update.

This is my fifth release and I've got the sixth one queued up for May!

Peter (goodreadscompetermeredith) | 17 comments Interesting experience writing a novel out of the blue...only to find such a huge lack of response from friends and family. I get congratulations, which is nice, but I have to pull teeth to get them to read it. Does this happen to anyone else? Or do I just need new friends and maybe rent some family members. Oh my book...well reviewed once I get people to read it, is The Horror Of The Shade

Same here ... everyone wants a free copy and acts like they're doing me a favour by reading it. Something about familiarity and contempt ...
Good luck with your new book. I hope you have more luck with the general public.

David, I agree with you about first publishing a paperback before putting a novel in eBook. I've done that with one of my books 3 years after publication. My new paperback novel has been out for several months and I don't intend to republish it into a Kindle eBook soon. I wanted this last novel to put on my shelf. I can't say how many more books I can put out in my lifetime, which is getting up there, so it was important that I have this baby in my hands.

Drop by my web site and read about my work.

Thad Brown I posted on this thread last month about my short story collection, The Smoking Gun Sisterhood, which I'd self-published online at Lulu.com. Recently, it's been picked up by an actual publisher, Trestle Press. For now, the Lulu print edition is still available at the link above, since the Trestle Press print version won't be published for awhile; but they're releasing the e-version as a series of separate e-stories. If you want to check one out before buying the whole book, the first one, The Smoking Gun Sisterhood: Chapter One Biker Angel is now available on Amazon's Kindle for just 99 cents.

Peter- your plot seems facinating!!
Commander William Jern of the U.S. Coast Guard is utterly fearless in the face of the destructive power of the sea. He is a man of action, and is never happier than when he charges out on a rescue into the most violent storms nature can throw at him. However, it is the supernatural that he and his family must face now. To the Jerns the concept of demons belonged strictly in the realm of science fiction and even the notion of Hell, seems implausible. However, in one terrifying night, each member of the family must face the Horror of the shade alone, with only their God given talents, to rely on. Charles Sheehan-Miles (csheehanmiles) I'll post mine, but first say thanks to Rick for inviting me to the group and making this a welcome place for readers and writers alike.

Republic A Novel of America's Future by Charles Sheehan-Miles Republic: A Novel of America's Future is the story of an American family struggling in a near future America that is beset by terrorism, fear, and growing government control of our personal lives. It came out of my own worries and fears of the post September 11 environment, and reflects many of the concerns we all share about liberty and security. The novel spent three years on the Amazon alternate history bestseller list and has received solid reviews from readers (56 customer reviews on Amazon to date).

Prayer at Rumayla A Novel of the Gulf War by Charles Sheehan-Miles Prayer at Rumayla: A Novel of the Gulf War is the story of Chet Brown, a nineteen year old soldier returning home from Iraq and struggling with the emotional and spiritual impact of the horrors of war and especially the remorse over his own actions during the war. It's not a very nice read, and probably needs to be re-written, but it's an honest view into the rage, confusion and self-hate that often accompany post-traumatic stress. I wrote it during the first two years after I got home from Iraq.

Hope some of you take a look and enjoy the books!

Charles

P.S. Feel free to friend me to follow my blog, I'm making progress on Insurgent, the sequel to Republic, and hope to have it completed by the end of the year.

Dawn Lairamore | 4 comments Let me echo my thanks to Rick for the invite--and for his review of my middle-grade children's novel, Ivy's Ever After.

IEA is my version of a fairy tale with a twist, about a princess and a dragon who team up against a handsome prince. School Library Journal gave it a starred review, calling it a "fun and entertaining fairy-tale-based fantasy with a nice balance of character development and action." Kirkus Reviews said, "Evenly paced with humor to match, this fractured fairy tale will delight tween readers," and Booklist called my heroine, Ivy, an "engaging alternative to the standard damsel-in-distress figure."

Anyone who'd like to read Chapter 1 of Ivy's Ever After is most welcome to visit my website or my author page here on GoodReads (links below). Both Chapter 1 and the book trailer for Ivy's Ever After are available at either. And I just this weekend finished revising the forthcoming sequel, Ivy and the Meanstalk. Hooray!!

So nice to meet everyone here.

Gerald Pruett | 39 comments I would like to introduce the two books that I currently have out. A Crossed Realityand Legacy: The Mark of Merlin. I am writing a sequel for my Legacy one.

Also I designed the cover for both books while using a Poser program. (Poser is a 3D modeling computer program where you can pose 3D characters). When I designed the covers, I try to create each one to have a symbolic meaning to the story.

With my story "The Crossed Reality" people only see three women. The three women on the cover page represent specific characters.

Can anyone guess the names of the three women and what the three women are doing?

Nancy Jarvis (screalwriter) | 40 comments May I sign in and tell you about my books? I'm still a licensed Realtor, but I've been referring business out because I'm having too much fun writing mysteries with a real estate agent protagonist to work my day job any more. LOL

The books fall into a rough definition of cozy mysteries: body in the first chapter, female amateur sleuth, no graphic sex or violence, and a well resolved conclusion.

If anyone wants to read opening chapters, they are available at http://www.goodreadmysteries.com. Books are sold through the, website, on Amazon and as e-books for Kindle and at Barnes and Noble's Pubit!
Thanks.

Thank you Rick, I really appreciate that!

I'm trying to drive the Amazon price to free by hitting the "report a cheaper price" button on their site, but until then, it's free on Smashwords. The reason I'm doing the free thing right now is that due to a big change in Amazon's handling of the book (explained on my blog here), the visibility of the book has simply vanished from their site, and I'm hoping to recover, especially since the sequel is almost finished.
