But I am more excited that's it's recently been listed as an ebook with Amazon - because it spreads the readership area worldwide. I'm not quite a master of the universe yet but I'm getting there.

Maurice Nicholson | 7 comments Thank you for the opportunity to do a little promoting of my new book just released on Kindle.

Call down the Hawk is a thriller set mostly in the wild bogland of the West of Ireland but with the action swinging also to the arid deserts of North Africa and to the troubled province of Ulster.

The past comes back to haunt a reformed, former assassin when he is made an offer he cannot refuse, one that has the potential to fatally derail the growing movement for peace and reconciliation on the island of Ireland.

I have added the link to Amazon below and would love to have any comments or, even better, reviews if any of you try it out.

Hi Rick, I had a home in the West of Ireland for ten years and I set the book primarily in that locale. I had lived and worked in the Arabian Gulf and Saudi Arabia for some time so it was great to have that experience to call on. It was there that I learned about falconry too so I made the protagonist in Call down the Hawk a falconer too.

Philip Whiteland | 9 comments Would be delighted if you could spare a few moments to have a look at my new collection of stories, Crutches For Ducks. To quote from the blurb:

Enter the slightly odd world of Phil Whiteland and slip back a few decades to a time when a John Bull Printing Outfit was the height of toy technology, when the telephone never stretched more than two feet from the front door, when every boy's knee was covered by a three inch square of brown sticking plaster and when a trolley-bus into town was a great adventure. This bumper collection of 'nostalgedy' stories (what happens when you mix nostalgia and comedy) coupled with some contemporary observations, guarantees a smile on every page and a chuckle in every chapter. Settle down for a step back in time and a giant leap forward in enjoyment, and if anyone asks you what you're doing, just tell them "Leos for meddlers…" (Complete with pictures - you have been warned!)

A world hidden right under our noses for thousands of years. A secret dating back to it's founding fathers that threatens to throw it into chaos. It's savior ... a boy from our world.

REVIEW:
"It is not very often that I open a book package in my house and set everything else aside, seeing as that I usually already have a pile to review. But when this one came into my hands, let’s just say that the first page ‘had me at hello,’ (not that I ever like using a Tom Cruise reference.) But to be given a young adult title with no vampires, no ‘yearnings’ of love, no thoughts of suicide - I mean, this was not only a great plot with fantastical characters - but it was also a total breath of fresh air.

I am telling you, readers - take a wee bit of Harry Potter, combine it with Peter Pan’s Lost Boys, throw in some Eragon, and infuse all of that with a new author whose imagination has such an appeal that you will want to read every book in this series - and you end up with the world of Grim’s Peak. The carriage called a ‘Sleeker’ is beyond cool; the dead lake in Hel-mir is frightening and creepy; the Water Arch that protects the city, and even the odd foods from Coral Sweets (candy) to the glasses of creamy whale’s milk - there is not one scene that doesn’t bring you into a seriously glorious world that SHOULD be looked at as the next ‘big’ YA fantasy series! This is a truly great read!"

I used the report in my research for both novels. With Iran getting close to getting a nuke as well as their interest in EMP weapons, perhaps The Great Collapse and The Dark Age are not so far-fetched!

Rich Feitelberg | 5 comments Twenty-five years ago, invaders captured Andropolis, the capital of Thalacia, and ended the rule of King Leonard. According to prophecy, the invaders can be ousted and the royal line restored only by wielding the Aglaril, seven elven gems of unprecedented power.

However, the circlet in which the gems were set was destroyed millennia ago and the gems lost. At least, that was the common belief. Evan Pierce, a priest of St. Michael, discovers one of the gems belongs to the town jeweler. He also uncovers a plot to steal the gem and does what he can to keep it safe. But it is not enough.

Now, Evan must recover the gem by relying on a motley group of adventurers for help. Together, they must overcome a series of obstacles or humanity's one hope for restoring the royal line will be lost forever.

Lyn Horner Hi Readers and Authors,
I have a new book out on Amazon. Here's a short blurb:

Dashing Druid continues Lyn Horner’s unique Texas Druids saga. This western romance stars Tye Devlin, the eldest of three psychically gifted siblings. Descended from legendary Irish Druids, Tye is a sensitive, an empath in modern terms. He “feels” other’s emotions. Over time, he has erected mental barriers to block out most of the “racket” in order to save his sanity, but when he meets Texas cowgirl Lil Crawford, her troubled feelings easily breach those barriers.

Unlucky in love, Lil sees herself as a gangly old maid. She guards her bruised heart behind a tough façade, working alongside her father’s cowhands. When a handsome stranger with an Irish brogue calls her beautiful, she thinks he’s mocking her. Learning he’s the brother of the woman who wed her lost love, Lil tries to put Devlin out of her mind, yet she can’t help wishing such a man might truly find her beautiful.

Set against a backdrop of Texas ranch life, an iconic cattle drive, and feuding families, this action packed story delves into Tye's painful empathic ability and the impact it has upon his life and those he loves. As he and Lil struggle to survive raging rivers, hostile Indians and a vicious, gun wielding enemy, they must face their personal demons and decide if love is worth the consequences. Explosive surprises will determine their fate. Dashing Druid

Lyn Horner Virginia,
Thanks for replying. My Texas Druids books are quite realistic and are basically western historicals. Since I believe psychic powers exist, having experienced prophetic dreams myself, I truly don' t consider my psychically gifted characters that much of a stretch.

Have you ever visited Celtic Hearts Romance Writers online? You might find authors you would enjoy there. I recently joined the group. Sorry, no, I haven't read Circle of Stones, but I'll look for it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I.E. Henn I'm a reader and fan of books of all genres, with a bent toward mystery, suspense and thrillers.

My own novel, The Delta Chain, is a suspense thriller with a scientific edge:

In a small coastal town, Detective Adam Bennett's investigation of an unidentified drowning victim leads to a sinister discovery - a pattern of similar cases - six bodies, washed ashore along the coasts of Australia and the United States over a two year period.

Who were they?

And who is the powerful group that will stop at nothing to keep the secret?

In all ebook formats and paperback.

My name is Stephen Biro and I just released my 1st book. It's a memoir and it's really different from most. I could go on and on about it but I'm not that much into hyping myself. Just let the work and the words, speak for themselves. Check it out if your interested.

Hellucination by Stephen Biro

I just had a forward written by a psychobiologist on LSD studies that is available on my blog on Goodreads. The book is heavy into theology, psychology, reincarnation, the splitting of the ego and finding God, the Devil and then being sent to Hell.

I know... you don't have to say it. I'm trying to get used to the fact, of releasing my book and telling people point blank, I have met God, Satan and have been to Hell. It's so different but it is me.

My memoir has been doing really well. Everyone who reads it has been giving me 5 stars and the funny thing is, I just noticed that everyone who reads it, says it's powerful and a book, that shouldn't be taken lightly.

I guess I did something right with the written word.

Vincent A. (goodreadscomvince_palazzo) | 10 comments My first novel is now available. Hope you get a chance to check it out. According to my one and only review to date, I like "gritty" language. Probably true. "This Little Piggy Belongs to the Devil" is a fast-paced, concise and passionate point of view account presented in blunt, brutal, vulgar, irreverent, glib, off-the-cuff and occasionally comical language. As psychological thriller, revenge pieces go, it's fun. I think so anyway.

Three weeks out of cancer surgery, crime reporter Syeeda McKay is in the pursuit of Los Angeles’s most active serial killer. Over the last twenty years, the Phantom Slayer has hunted African-American prostitutes working in one of the worst parts of South Los Angeles, killing eight victims in the alleys off Western Avenue, and then disappearing into the shadows. But Syeeda doesn’t know that the killer has turned his sights on her.

Detective Adam Sherwood, a hotshot investigator with the Robbery-Homicide Division of the LAPD, has been handed the Phantom Slayer cases, and together, he and Syeeda must figure out who is doing the killing . . . before Syeeda becomes his next victim.
