If a new paranormal character were to come out, what would it be?

I don't know if this really makes any sense but, the vampire, werewolf, witch, etc. characters have been always been used in multiple books. Sooner or later they would get kinda old, right? Then a new fantasy character will rise and do the same as the others. Question is, what do you think that new character will be?

i would love to see some more characters with a mythology based..but not just greek or rome...like the egyptians or norse, or even some of the asian cultures...there is a series set in egypt coming out (totally blanking on it right now)...I have it in the TBR pile

I think it might be the Fae. More books (especially YA) are coming out with Fairy elements. I think that will become more popular as vampires fall from the spot light in a few years.
