Fourth of July Challenge
Argh. A 2.87 rating is not impressive. I'm still going to try it, since I own a copy on my TBR pile. *sigh* I hope it doesn't end up on PB Swap! At least Blood Born got swapped immediately, so I don't have to stare at that atrocity.
Sarah ~Sehrenity~ wrote: "I decided to read Steamed by Katie MacAlister instead. Katie Mac is always a sure bet for me, and I need something to clear the taste of bad vamp from my palatte."It is funny that you say this author is a sure bet for you, for me she is hit or miss. I always like to hear about others sure bets, especially when they are different from mine. If I haven't read too many of the books it makes me want to give them another try.
I can see why she's not everyone's cuppa, but she has a sense of humor similar to mine, so I get the goofy parts!
So far this is my list...1. Color Me -
2. Patriotism - maybe Edge Of The Moon
3. Military Man/Woman -
4. The 4th - Pray for Dawn

3 Down / 2 To GoMy plans for this challenge got completely derailed when I got hooked on the Christine Feehan series. Luckily her books covered a few of the catagories. Now if only one of them either took place in the Summer or in DC, then I could finish the challenge up! Lol, oh well, guess I'll have to find a different author and/or series to finish it!

I really enjoyed My Soul to Take. I really appreciated the fact that is didn't have hormones gone wild like most YA books and really held your interest so it was hard to put down. I definitely plan on reading the next book in the series.

Personally I'm still stuck on 3 out of 5."I had a hard time finding the books for this challenge and the summer one especially stumped me. Thankfully I finally found a book that looked interesting, but was worried about hte mediocre reviews. Thankful I really enjoyed these books.

I'm going to have to wait for the Kitty book next month. So as of now I have completed the challenge.
Just a note to those who are participating. Once you have completed the challenge, let us know so we can add your name to the challenge. The easiest way is to re-post your completed list, rather than updating your original post. Thanks!
All Done! :)

It was pretty good. I didn't really understand why the heroine wasn't more upset about her situation though. Her partner was great.

Right now, Radiant Shadows by Melissa Marr is absolutely brilliant. I love her! Beneath the Skin by Adrian Phoenix is taking forever, though. It's the second book I've picked up lately that's changed the POV format in the middle of a series(Seraph of Sorrow by MaryJanice Davidson was the first). Sort of weird.

Awesome!!
Thanks, ladies. BTW, I highly recommend the Wicked Lovely books by Melissa Marr. They are classified as YA books, but don't let that fool you--they read like great adult fiction with complex characters. If you like dark fae stories, give it a try.Wicked Lovely
