Was Darth Vader Bipolar/Borderline?

The REAL Darth Vader is not bi-polar. He is an evil bad-ass.

You see, that raises one of the fascinating questions here. If he was bi-polar/borderline, was he evil? Or is letting him off the "evil" hook going too easy on him? Does evil exist outside of mental illness diagnosis? Or can everyone identified as "evil" be catagorized in the DSM?
Dammit, Shafer, quit posting articles that I posted on Facebook two weeks ago!
Funny enough, I wrote a blog a few weeks after the release of Revenge of the Sith, where I suggested Anakin Skywalker could have avoided all this Darth Vader mess had he seen a shrink, and not talked to either dumb-assed Yoda, or Obi-Wan Kenobi. I wish I hadn't taken down that blog, but I may have to dig up my hard copy and repost.

Well, if you'd shared with us here at the same time, Gus, this wouldn't be an issue. :)

Gus, you post the equivalent of the goddamn NY Times on your facebook every two days. I can't keep up. You're my primary news source these days.

Uh, I've never heard of Anne of Green Gables...
KIDDING!
Yeah, I've never read it.

The researchers also say the diagnosis has educational benefits.
Star Wars, they wrote, is "part of most students' cultural background," and so "this case study could prove useful in teaching the criteria of BPD to medical students and residents."
I don't mean to post this in a flippant/silly way. What do you think?
