After I stopped laughing and vomited on the floor, I tracked down a Youtube clip of Hucknall singing "Stay With Me" with the band last October and - wait for it - it was actually pretty good. Rod's voice is shot anyway which probably explains his decision to sit this one out. Either that or he's in the studio finishing up his latest easy-listening magnum opus.

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I never liked the Faces much, and this entire idea just sounds...sad...like when Molly Hatchet tours and the only original member is the drummer or whatever...

Carol | 1678 comments maybe they should replace Ronnie Wood with Mick Taylor...

Yes, Mick Taylor is still alive. Mick Jagger brought him back to the studio to do some guitar work on the bonus tracks for the Exile on Main Street re-master.

I always thought Mick Taylor was the best guitarist in the Stones NOT named Keith Richards. And I say that with the utmost respect for Ronnie Wood.

What is this about? I don't understand any ... nothing beyond Rod Stewart.

It is cute when old people get together to rock.

We shall have to agree to disagree. How's that for diplomacy? At least I'm trying...

sees Clark white-knuckling the armrests, resists the urge to taunt him further

I think the Faces don't get the credit they deserve, and part of that is because of Rod Stewart's later tendency to sing banal, soft pop, betraying a wonderfully gritty voice not suited for crap like D'ya Think I'm Sexy?

That crap he was churning out while he with Brit Eklund was deplorable but then again he wasn't thinking with the right head.

Kinda hard to think when you're getting head from Britt Ekland. Or Rachel Hunter. Or whatever Blonde of the Month Rod was cavorting with.
