I saw the new Broadway musical and it clearly showed that Dally was indeed in love with Johnny. Both emotionally and spiritually, and the actors made gestures that when Ponyboy wasn’t around there was a physical relationship that came out of both a pure, sexual and spiritual love between them. Joshua Boone plays Dally and I hope he wins the Tony award.
