Belinda I really enjoy reading this book. There are so many wonderful ideas and each chapter is more interesting than the next. I am in the middle of chapter 5. I want to write notes on everything so I don't forget. I really appreciate how she provides questions to guide student work. The idea about writing your life is a skill I think all of us need to be able to do. We are on a journey through life, why not write about it. It would be as unique as ourselves. Our memories range from awareness to the stand out moments of our lives. I like how she discusses how to awaken our memories in order to write. Using photographs was another way to conjure up memories to write about. I especially appreciate the section on how to get kids to write when they say they have nothing. Every chapter offers good quality advice to write with meaning.
