Just Beverly Cleary and Astrid Lindgren will keep us busy for a looooooooong time. It is hard to get time to read to ds because he is always going, going, going........ Also, he prefers comics when he read by himself, so I can't count on him to read the classics on his own!

Eastofoz Good lord that's the story of my life Kirei 8-) I could easily never buy a book for 5 years and still have stuff left over I'm sure what with my overflowing TBR pile. My kids have tons of books too. They're pretty good at reading everything they get, I'm just pretty bad at buying even more (lol!)

Ronyell (rabbitearsblog) | 213 comments Yeah! I always buy so many books and I said that I will try to read those books, but because I was always busy when I was in college (just graduated!) I barely had the time to read the books that I bought and there's just so many books that I wanted to read, but I barely have the time for!

Wilhelmina Jenkins | 229 comments I an (still!) having trouble in adjusting to my grandson being in school all day instead of at home with me where we could read endlessly. (It's been 3 years - I should adjust!) I remember once when he was about 4 and someone asked him how many books we read each day and he answered, "Oh, at least 6 or 7" and the person laughed, thinking that he was exaggerating. It was probably an understatement.

Crystal Marcos (crystalmarcos) | 477 comments Yes, so many lovely books! I started reading to Kaylee when she was in the womb. When she is an adult, I would enjoy discussing books with her including children's books. I can picture it now. =) She comes home from college and I have our books picked out for her visit. We are sitting on the couch, hot chocolate in one hand and a book in the other.

And to think Abigail that we can all happily go to store and buy some more without even batting an eye :p

Amy (mary6543) | 341 comments I generally have to take whatever our library has--they have a large supply of English books in their storeroom. I'll ask them to bring some books and then I'll read those to ds. It is all very random!!!! Many books on my Goodreads shelf are not books I would have picked out. (Same with the adult books.)

I discovered a new libary yesterday and I was thrilled because it has lots of "new" (actually very old but new to me) books. They have two favorites from my childhood: the set of "Charlie Brown's 'Cyclopedia" and both the World Book and Childcraft books I just adored. oooh!
