☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ I hate Stephen King books/movies! He is a very good writer but his books are way to scary for me! I tried reading Carrie :( not a good idea by the way. The only movie I watched that I liked was "The Green Mile" its not scary and its about these guys in prison, and this one guy falsely accused for a murder, but he can bring people and living things back from the dead. Like for example, one of the guys in the story has a pet rat that he is very attached too named Mr. Jingles. One of the mean prison guards stepped on Mr. Jingles right in front of the guy just too make him sad. Then the guy who can bring things back to life saves Mr. Jingles and brings him back to life and gives him back to the guy. So make sure you and least watch "The Green Mile"

Ruby I honestly loved this book! It made me laugh but at the same time you could relate to the character too. I just want to kno what everyone else thought about it.

I've never read Stephen King or watched his movies... But I will take your word for it and not read it.

since this is the Book haters thingy. I'm going to add books that suck to the bookshelf!
(do you mind?)

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ Please do Elise! That is a great idea!

Keyanah I haven't read the books, but I've watched the movies! They're pretty good, but they really creep me out.......

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Ha ha! Well I guess this author is a pretty good horror person.

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ I'm too scared to watch any of his movies, well except for I watched a little bit of "It" with my Mom cause she LOVES Stephen King's books. So I guess "It" wasn't that bad. And yes Elise he is like the all time MASTER at horror, he thinks up things that I think are unbelieveable! Its unthinkable horror(well in my opion I think he is the MASTER but it might just me being a scardy cat) ^^

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

I never really liked horror shows they rubbed me the wrong way.

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ Same here. I don't know its always been Stephen King's books that have really scared me.:( I had nightmares about "Children Of The Corn" :(

-Khloe

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

That was a pretty weird show... children of the corn I mean.

message 12: by Keyanah (new)

Keyanah Children of the Corn was just weird.....

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

yeah! I dunno

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ I though it was just plain creepy!

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

ha ha!! Yeah, it was pretty creepy.

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ Of course every Stephen King movie is really creepy. But I think Children Of The Corn was the craziest/creepiest!

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

really? I dunno...

s•u•n•s•h•i•n•e «§KENZ§» I've never even heard of Stephen King.

message 19: by Keyanah (new)

Keyanah WHAT?????

s•u•n•s•h•i•n•e «§KENZ§» I typically stay away from horror books/films.

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ Have you read any of R.L. Stine's books? I like his Fear Street books, cause they are scary(too me), but at the same time they aren't give you nightmares scary. And Kenzie, I would have never heard of Stephen King if it hadn't been for my Mom. So its no big deal if you havn't heard of him. :D

-Khloe

s•u•n•s•h•i•n•e «§KENZ§» Thanks =)
Has anyone heard of The Andromeda Strain? The book is really good, but the movie is horrid!

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ I've never heard of it before. What is the author's name?

-Khloe

s•u•n•s•h•i•n•e «§KENZ§» I don't remember. It's on my profile, I think.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

ha ha!! That was such a bad movie! I'll read the book though.

☼☼Khloe☼☼~*~Thirteenth Step~*~ Most books' movies are horrid. Well except for a few chosen ones.... But thoes are rare.

message 27: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Ditto.

Don't even get me started on Harry Potter. I don't really like the books anymore, but they are at least 10 times better than the movies.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

Same with lord of the rings... *sigh* they ruined it.

message 29: by Mallory (new)

Mallory OMJ! ELISE! I cannot believe you SAID TAHT! They did amazing with LOTR! They only have so much money and time to use things with. I could not be more pleased with the movie. Seriously.

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

still, read the books and you learn how they ruined it. Same with eragon. It was a good show and all but I think they forgot some pretty cool parts.

message 31: by Mallory (new)

Mallory The books hurt my head.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

I know. That's why you don't do well with RAsalvatore or Tolkien... or any adult fiction for that matter, you just need a little help.

message 33: by Mallory (new)

Mallory No. I can read RASalvatore. I just have standards and that book is below them. so I won't read it. That one's a choice.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

OH MY GOSH!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! OoO. I JUST REALIZED HOW STUPID! GAHHHH!!! YOU HAVE TO CALL ME!!! NOW!!!

message 35: by Mallory (new)

Mallory ME?!

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, and you've called great! So do you understand it now?

message 37: by Mallory (new)

Mallory I think so :) The prequel was writted after the sequel because people didn't get it so the author went back to explain so you read the prequel after the sequel. BACs!

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

Brilliant! Now I recommend reading the original CS and if you want any background to THEN read the prequel!

message 39: by Mallory (new)

Mallory Eh. No. Standards, remember? I have standards and those are below them.

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

huh? You mean the one thing? This book doesn't have any of that. It's all adventure! Nothing else! I reread it again so it's all quite vivid in my mind. It's perfectly safe!

message 41: by Mallory (new)

Mallory No. I won't read it! I won't!!! Because then I'll like it and then I'll want to read more. I WON'T!!! *shudders*

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

haha! Fine, your loss for a great book! :D But you know... there are very few great books now adays... :|

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

I LOVE THAT BOOK!!! :D I meant Pride and prejudice!

message 44: by Mallory (new)

Mallory I'm sorry, Melody. It CAN GET SOOOO ANNOYING WHEN YOU DON'T WANT TO READ SOMETHING BECAUSE YOU HAVE STANDARDS. Eh? Did you all hear me? *grins*

message 45: by Mallory (new)

Mallory I'm right with you, Melody. I've got proof right up there *smiles* Apparently we're both 'immature'.

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

Well since your standards are so high then it's no wonder.

message 47: by Jenny (new)

Delaney i didn't like this book. it felt like the sterotypical girl book and i could see why so many people like it.

Nicole I thought it was so cute. If I could mix Rosie, Jilly, and Erin into the one person, you would have me. So I could relate to the different girls in different ways.
