Here's a question to "debate" would an atypical heroine be one who colors her hair funky colors, or dresses sort of punk/goth and whatnot. I'm think of Skeeter Bang from Tara Janzen's Steele Street books.

There is a sci-fi/fantasy folder that would probably encompass the sub-genres you mentioned. It just doesn't show up on the front page, because the topic hasn't been active for a while. You can click the "all" button under topics at the top of the discussion board to find it.

What about a list of male protagonists? Finding a good romance novel from the male perspective is almost impossible unless you've already read it!
