First of all, Hate is a strong word but I absolutely detest Twilight and I cannot believe people actually think this is a "vampire" story, much less "saga". I tried to read the first book, zzzzzz. Sleepiness fell almost immediately. Since I could not manage to read the first book I resourced to listen to the New Moon audio book, did not make much difference, it sucked equally. These teenagers who think they are bad asses because they watch or read Twilight are absolutely insane and are seconds away from being a statistic and becoming depressed and suicidal. Bella is a hormonal teen who complains way too much and has way too much time to think, Edward is emo and should be beheaded in front of Bella while she is being tortured for being so annoying. No vampire book will ever match Anne Rice and her Vampire Chronicles. Hell, I love True Blood. Sexy, violent, and dark, just what a vampire story should be like.
You are so right! The only dangerous thing about Edward is how lame and stupid he is. My 6 year old daughter is more dangerous. :)

I've recently watched an anime called Vampire Knight. I was happy that it wasn't like Twilight at all.
Twilight has ruined the sancitity of vampires. The reason I loved them so much was that they were like, this dangerous, forbidden thing. I was watching Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust last night (a pre-Twilight story of a Vampire/human love) and there is nothing pretty about when the living fall for the undead. And DEFINITELY no sparkles. But there was blood. Yes, lots of that.

I've been undergoing chemo for the past couple of months, and during my last hospital stay, one of my favorite nurses, Jessica came in my room ro see me. She says "Jenn, you're a big reader." I say, "Why yes, I am." She says, "I recently read the Twilight books and. . ." and that was the end of her sanity as I know it. Another brilliant mind lost in the depths. When she learned I was less than enthusiastic she toned it down and now we talk about other things, but now all the other nurses try to avoid entering into any kind of conversation with her because it all comes round to Twilight with her in the end. So sad to see the decline happen in one so dear.

lol, OMG a friend and i were at our swim team banquet earlier today, and a couple of little kids where sitting in from of us while they where giving out awards. well, one of the kid;s names was bella and she got alot of medals and the other girls kept repeating her name while they where talking and all, and behind them, my friend and i where growling and all, really ticked off from hearing that name so many times... XD

Twiglight wouldn’t bother me so much if it wasn’t for all the stupid fan girls. They are all yay vampires are awesome. I like vampire novels so I figure if I just get them off the topic of twiglight we could hold a convo. But sadly no I ask them about other Vamp novels they have read or what they think of Anne Rice and they look at me like OMG there are other vampire novels apart from twilight. The Anne Rice comment usually brings on blank stares I tend to walk away after that so violence doesn’t ensue

I really hated the Twilight movie, and my sister in law (a twitard) always bugged me with: " You hate it because you havent read the book", so she dared me to read the whole saga hoping that i would change my mind, but It wont happen ... -_-I just finished reading Twilight aand BOY!! IT WAS HARD!! ... Not because it was a comlicated plot but because it was really ANOYING , LONG AND BORING!!!!
I dont know if I can read the next book, for now im taking a break by reading "Interview with the vampire" XD
