i freaking read 80 pages of this book! it hadn't gotten good ONE BIT! it was so lame, so dumb...everyone says i have to "get into" the book. uh...80 pages should be enough! i dont even like big books! i mean, i love reading, just not BIG books...ughh what a waste of time! i mean, i read a book [Lord Loss form series Demonata by Darren Shan] and it got good like on the second or third page. and got CRAZY GOOD on the SECOND CHAPTER! i mean...it was so amazing. but Twilight? ... NO! it SUCKS!! plus it just sounds so stupid!! a DRAMA about vampires & werewolves AND humans?? wtf. thats all i know about it, but it seems DUMB! i dont want to waste my life on it. its soooo over-rated! i mean, everyone is all like "OH ITS THE BEST BOOK EVER!! I CANT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE!" ughhh. it annoys me :(

This was the comment that was the least best about the last book. It sounds as if this person was so-so with the books! Well look at her change! Just cuz u hated the books before doesn't mean that u have to hate them still u know! Well here it is:

"Fans finally get what they want at the beginning of this fourth book in the bestselling Twilight Saga: a fairytale wedding and a honeymoon. Once that's out of the way, teens who are just in it for the romance shouldn't go any further. The small percentage of readers who are in it for the blood and supernatural creatures will get both, but one of the creatures turns out to be pretty bizarre and ridiculous, and there aren't enough compelling plot twists and suspenseful moments to carry the book through the full 755 pages. There's plenty of talking, though. And fear that something really sinister is coming for all of them. But when the force they all fear comes for them, all the build-up goes nowhere.

All the books in the series always ran too long, but they made up for the length with fun fantasy characters, plenty of romantic tension, and a good final battle at the end. This time the characters get everything they want at the beginning of the book and leave fans hanging at the end."

I might just show them this group and then what will u do? These ppl all love the Twilight Saga. Even a girl, who HATED Edward (totally on Jacob's side) loved the books!

"I’ll say, that Eclipse is my favorite of the Twilight books of the first three. And I think I can break that down into a few simple reasons.



1. Stephenie Meyer didn’t shy away from the action sequences. In the previous two books I was disappointed when she built up to big payoff scenes and then forgot to pay up. The fight with James…off scene. The solution with the Volturi…too easy. Finally! On camera fight scenes. I think she did a good job. I won’t say that the fight scene near the end was the best I ever read, but she found a way to stick with Bella’s point of view and to add play-by-play action. So, thanks Stephenie Meyer! It was fun.

2. I’ve never been one to live for the trashy romance, but I must say that this made me rethink my genre choices. Two alpha males with their undivided attention aimed at one girl. What’s not to love? Mainly, I think it’s every girl’s fantasy. To have a man so devoted that you never need reassurance or validation. To be rescued and to feel protected–in the old fashion sense. I know, I know…we’re supposed to be modern and it’s not a good message to be sending to young girls, blah blah blah. I got it. But, seriously, deep down inside it’s fun to think about having that–if only for a second.

3. Bella wasn’t so dizzy! Ok, so she was still dizzy, but much less. And that made me happy because that description got old.

4. I cried. I really did. Cried during Eclipse and I’m not ashamed to say it. I just love Jacob so much. I’ll leave it at that.



I’m sure I’ll have more insight once I read Breaking Dawn. I’ve got ants in my pants to get my hands on it."

Okay? You want a good book? Go read Water song. There's an intese romance that's not disgusting. Not your thing? Read Maid Marain. There's a good, descriptive, entertaining, political, romantic...still not yours? Fine. Read 'To Catch a Pirate'. Short, easy read. Not written the best way, but entertaining for it's 226 pages. See? There are plenty of good books that I like. And guess what? They're all less popular.

In my own personal opinion, as far as tween books go, this series is...basic. Bland and done countless times before with nothing really added in except for the ability to have sex (still trying to figure THAT one out, along with fathering a child, since, being a vampire means you're dead and a basic middle school education tells you that that can't be possible.) Really, I don't see the hype; Meyers doesn't bring anything to the table that hasn't been done better before. The dialogue, the characters, the settings...bland and boring. And Meyers touches on points that are, in my opinion, unmoral. Imprinting on children? Disgusting. Unprotected sex? Great job of instilling morals in the youth. And, if the outcome is a baby, way to make the ordeal not a big thing. To bad in real life babies don't grow up in a week. I read The Giver the other day and I'm amazed that a book for children and that is thrice the size smaller then a normal Twilight book was more deep then this series. Well, alright, I'm not that amazed. Poor writing, bland settings, boring characters. The only thing keeping this series afloat is the fan base and, from seeing some of those responses here, it's not a surprise.
