Ms.soule (mrssoule) Can anyone recommend romance novels that are set in the jungle with an Indiana Jones-type hero who rescues the heroine from certain jungle doom (like Romancing the Stone)? :) This is my favorite romance novel set-up but I've run out of books I know of that have this plot. I created the following GR list of books I've already read, and if anyone can add to it, that'd be AWESOME!

Desperado (lethallovely) | 822 comments Most of Pleasure of a Dark Prince is set in the Amazon & has a indiana jones (IJ) hero who saves the day.Passion Unleashed is pretty IJ but I think it's set in the Sahara.Shadow Play was definitely set in the jungle/amazon & fits your criteria. Thats all I can think of right now but if something else comes to mind I'll eta.

Alexis-Morgan Roark (alexismroark) | 36 comments I liked Linda Howard's "Heart of Fire," and it reminded me LOTS of "Romancing the Stone" although the book came first. Also check out, "Midnight Rainbow" by Linda Howard. Not as good as "Heart of Fire," but still a good read.

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) Have you ever actually read Romancing the Stone by Joan Wilder? It's a real book written in 1984. GRs says it's in paperback but I have a really old hardback edition that one day I'll get around to reading, since I liked the movie too.

Ms.soule (mrssoule) Briansgirl, I had no idea Romancing the Stone was a book too! LethalLovely, I haven't read Passion Unleashed or Shadow Play so those are definitely going to the top of my TBR list. Alexis, I've read both of Linda Howard's books and actually preferred Midnight Rainbow, but all her Kell Sabine books are good! Thanks!

Gennita Low has a series of female special ops,and the male ones that work with them,I believe they are called Gem or something like that.
Quite explicit sexuallly and very action packed and I liked the males a lot.The first two I read were super good stories.
