Four of my sisters usually reread the series too when the next book came out. So we'd all be reading Harry Potter, and then we'd have to fight over who would read the new book first. Which was usually me because I read books the fastest. So I would read the new book the morning it came out and finish later that day.
We eventually had to buy at least 2 copies sometimes 3 of the new Harry Potter books, one for me one for my sister and one for my dad
Heather, I read your review for Hollywood Life. It's great! How was Eyeliner of the Gods?I've heard tons of good things about Wintergirls. :)
I read (a thriller, a bit of a cross between Dan Brown and Robert Ludlum) The Hand of Christ by Joseph Nagle and loved it (reading for the second time right now). If you like history, religion, government, and good writing, I suggest this book (comes in eBook too).
I copied this synopsis and author info from another site where the book is sold:
A document bearing the handprint of Christ is stolen. Another is discovered. Middle East peace talks at the Umayyad Mosque in Syria are attacked and CIA Officer Dr. Michael Sterling is caught in the middle. Along with the ambassadors of each nation in attendance, a Syrian agent is fatally wounded but, before dying, passes shocking intelligence to Michael - intelligence that outlines the planned assassinations of the Ayatollah of Iran and of the Pope and more: the intelligence outlines the history of an esoteric organization that traces their lineage to the truth of the Crucifixion – to Christ himself. Known only as the Order, their charter and goal throughout history has been to infiltrate governments with pawns of their own; to reclaim their right to rule.
The Ayatollah's assassination shocks the world, and Michael is blamed. Soon, he discovers that a Presidential backed but botched mission - codenamed Merlin - was conducted by his own agency and it made Iran nuclear capable. Seething from the killing of their beloved leader, Iran has aimed its full nuclear arsenal at the United States and has issued an ultimatum: hand over Michael in forty-eight hours or it will be war – exactly as the Order had planned.
Attacked by his own agency, hunted by the Order, and wanted by the Iranians, Dr. Michael Sterling carries the reader on a mesmerizing and fast-paced journey through Syria, the US, and Rome to stop the Pope's murder and to avert a manufactured war.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
A former Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and Military Intelligence soldier, Joseph is a trained interrogator and linguist. Currently, Joseph works with the firm that puts government payloads into space.
In his spare time, he can be found in the mountains of Colorado with his brilliant and beautiful wife skiing black-diamond mogul runs or hiking a 'fourteener,' watching his entirely too-strong son play rugby, or hunched over his laptop in the nearest coffee shop working on his next novel.

I am the same as you Katie. I am trying to finish Eclipse super fast since we are starting the Buddy Read for Breaking Dawn
LOL! Well don't rush too fast, or you might miss important stuff. :). I think it starts today, but IDK if Elyssa has the first assignment ready..
I just finished reading
I wanted to read this book because I thought the cover was pretty but as time went by I wasn't expecting much from it but I actually ended up liking them. The mystery in them was different and something I wouldn't have guessed (but I'm also not good at that) and it had some cute love story thrown in too:) It was an easy read and if you are interested in a lighter young adult book I'd recommend it
Angela: That book has always drawn my attention! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I will have to look into it more. Question: Is the main character, by any chance, still in school??I am currently 86% finished with
. Then I will start working on
and
.

There like a rumored sequel coming out next year called Jessica's Guide to Ruling on the Dark Side. I do not see too much information about it yet. I only found out sometime last month about that.
