Dark Visions series vs The Darkest Powers series

Both books envolve a main character(female) and how she has a supernatural power and is having a diificult time. They are sent to a school for kids with specials needs( really for supernaturals). The main likes one guy but then gets close to another. She becomes friends with everyone and then they find out the real reason they are there. The findout that they are going to be used and then they escape. Love traingles, humor and serious matters come up. The main finds out who she really loves nand she saves the day.

Both books are similar and I dont know which one is better. What do you think? :)
