We've hit a lull. It is the last of the warm days and I'm trying to keep the kids out and active. Doesn't happen if I'm inside. Monkey see Monkey do with them. LOL!

We are in sort of a slump here. Need to get the conversations going again. Jump in anywhere! Hope you have fun here!
Hi there, I'm Zanahoria, from Argentina. Been reading quite voraciously since I was around 8. Started by trying to sate some idle curiosity about greek myths, and was devouring fantasy and horror a month later. I just never stopped.
Beyond that, I love singing and dancing, biking, drawing. Cooking and jogging are enjoyment, therapy and meditation all rolled into one as far as I'm concerned.
I'm studying Architecture. Want to travel. Miss having a dog and a big garden. And access to my old library. But still love my apartment and independence.

Question: What do I do about the books I've read more than once?

My name is Carrie, I'm living in Japan currently and I've been reading since... always I think. I'm a university student. I study math and computer science. I love reading fantasy, science fiction, graphic novels, and the occasional classic. The best book I've read in the last few weeks is Divergent.
Hi all! My name is Suzanne, and I'm a proud Mama of 2 little ones, aged 4 and 5. Right now I'm a SAHM, but I'm currently looking for a job, so hopefully I'll be employed sooner than later in an office position. :)
I've been reading for as long as I can remember. My parents are both readers and so is my sister and my Maternal Grandmother, so it just runs in the family. I love, love, love mysteries. I think the Nancy Drew series got that started for me, and now I just can't get enough! But, I'll read just about anything but sci-fi and non-fiction. I REALLY have to be in the mood for either one of those. And typically I'll only read YA sci-fi, because anything else just goes right over my head.
I've been doing the Million Pages thing by myself since May, when I saw someone else doing it, but I'm excited to have a group to do it along with. :) It's ALOT of pages, and I'm only at just under 17k, so I've still got a LONG ways to go! :)

*squeals* This is so awesome!

too late for the 2012 challenge (given that there's only 5 days left) looking forward to a 2013 challenge!

My name is Meri Kate. You can call me MK for short. I live in Florida. I'm nineteen years old. I love to read, bake, sing, write, journal, and be creative. I am also a big Disney fanatic.

By the way, just a question - when can we start the million page count - is it based on when we joined the group or can we put the ones we've recorded in the few past years? :) Thanks!
Hi Everyone!!! :)
My name is Malissa. I am 20 years old and live in Oklahoma. I am currently a sophomore in college. However, I am not currently enrolled in college at this time. I recently moved back to the United States from living in Japan so I had to put my college studies on hold while I get settled. Once I get more settled, I'm hoping to attend the University of West Florida as an English or Library Sciences major. Even though I miss being in school full time, I love having the extra time to read the books that I want to read :)
I am excited about this new group and am looking forward to participating in discussions with y'all! :)

Hi, I'm Samantha! I just discovered this group and I love the idea. I'm 38, married, and work in a small library in Tennessee. I'll just count what I read from now on and I'm thinking this will take me until I turn 50 in 2025 if not longer!

Tanya, I am doing the Million page challenge but I am 58 and only started to keep track of this last year! I do keep a record of all that I read here on Goodreads but I find it much easier to set my goals for the year of number of books I am going to read rather than pages. I set a new goal each December for the following year and I am able to increase by a few each year. I keep a spreadsheet, not fancy mind you of books I want to read because they have been on my TBR list and I want variety. (I have 600+ on my TBR list and I decided to add 1 book per month that I added a title to the list.) I started Goodreads in 2009, this year I have 72 that I am sure I want to read, then add a few more so that I can pick up a new title that I read about or complete a series or even do a little research! It is quite ambitious, but it works, I have read 34 on the list so far plus 25 others in my goal of 90. The Reading Challenge here is excellent way to keep track as well, I am 15 books ahead so far but I am now reading a long technical book and have 2 sagas to read as my next, so I will not be so far ahead.
I use my library all the time and have a que of titles in reserve to be sent to my local branch. We do not have the largest system in Virginia but it is still very good and being able to search online at home is a help, but it does not beat shelf quests and looking at what other people are picking up. I am so nosy, that is why there are so many books on my TBR list!!

My name is Karen and I am a readaholic I want too see if I can read a million pages and look forward to keeping track of it.
