Honestly I don't even remember all the books I read before I joined Goodreads.
I was never sucessful at keeping book journals and between the ages of 7-15 I often read a book a day, many of them rereads.
On one childhood holiday when I was bored I read the same book 7 times in 36 hrs.
Wow! That's pretty impressive!!! Haha well post what you have kept up with, and if they are books that you dont have a date for, but remember reading, add those too. If you aren't sure of the page numbers, use the amount GoodReads has :)

Hi everyone! I've apparently been in this group before and then left or got kicked out or something, I don't know. I didn't even remember, lol.Anyways, I'm Danie, I'm 21 and I live in Oklahoma City. I'm ALWAYS working - I have two full-time jobs as a nanny and balloon artist- but on my downtime I read nonstop.
I'm excited to see if I can hit the 1,000,000 pages! Has anyone accomplished that goal yet?
Great to have you back Danie!I don't think anyone has reached it yet. Not even our resident superfast reader (Shay). However she probably has, but since she only started counting last year she will probably reach it here soon.

Quick question, do re-reads count? For example, if I read one of the Harry Potter books 8 times (don't judge, I've done it quite a bit!), do I list and count it 8 times? Or just the one?

Dee reads fast too. I hope that November is the month I hit 250,000! I actually read more before I had kids and when I was a kid. So, I've probably read over 6 or 7 million pages so far. Not including non-literature school books.

Dang. LOL, I can't even imagine how many books that would be... And yeah, Dee reads a lot as well.
Before I had kids, I read about 700-900 books a year. Probably even more when I was a kid- before I had a job and all of that yucky responsibility stuff. I used to just sit in school and read my own books almost all day. I learned how to read really young, so I was reading adult level books by the time I was 7. I remember reading 3 or more books a day when I was in school.
Wow. And what page range were those books that you were finishing during school??
I could probably finish 300-600 pages a day during school depending on what classes we had and how much work was assigned for the daily class work. Normally I could just finish up classwork in 10-15 minutes then just read. Plus reading before and after school, too.
Yes Dee does read A LOT! I have no idea how you ladies find the time because I just can't seem to find it half the time.

Hello All! I stumbled upon this group today and pretty much fell in love with the concept of reading a million pages. =) As a lover of lists and keeping track of things, this is right up my alley!As an intro, I am recently graduated from undergrad and newly-married and I have a lot of time on my hands to read and watch television. So I do. A lot. =D I am also pursuing a career in library sciences, thanks to my love of books.
If I am understanding the rules correctly, then I think I can start off with about 400 books. But I might only include the books that I've read since I started college because I can remember exactly when I read them. =)
I will start my list very soon. Thanks for such an inspiring idea.
