thank you. the photocopy is pretty bad, but the sketch itself is pretty good. like i said, i'm proud of Virtue, Adrian and Acacia. the others are okay.

Brilliant Michael!

taren's face looks not quite like i imagine him, but i'm fairly satisfied with the result. the faces seem to lack depth, but that will come with practice.

Has she met avenger yet?

message 64: by Michael, Illustrator. (Seriously, I'm happy to do commissions.) (new)

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
no, i don't know how they would feel about each other either. i don't see them getting along too well. they're both crafty and manipulative.

message 65: by Michael, Illustrator. (Seriously, I'm happy to do commissions.) (new)

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
sounds reasonable. at the moment i am at a loss as to what i think should happen. lol, not enough sleep recently.

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't see the reason as to why acacia would want to give calahir to avenger though.

Is there anything anyone wants drawn, hopefully relating to the story? I'm trying to expand my style (I will be taking an art class soon, and could use some practice), and I would be really excited about illustrating key points in this story. So please, either post here or PM me, and I will probably be glad to try it.

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

Draw Garth. And a detailed marker. I'd like to see you extend your limits to complex landscape just for the fun of your imagination.

message 69: by Michael, Illustrator. (Seriously, I'm happy to do commissions.) (new)

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
haha, I'll try. I can probably do the marker relatively easily. What does Garth look like?

Wow, I must really seem like a group stalker, but I got to the page and it had apparently just been updated. Heh, awesome.

message 70: by Just Plain Ray (new)

Just Plain Ray (Ray_of_Sunshine) | 1110 comments Oooh, not to steal ideas or anything, but I'm in an artistic mood as well. I'm kinda leaning towards characters, tho? like close-ups.

I'm in the mood to draw one of the males (I need to get practice on that)...any ideas?

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

You have Adrian, Calahir, Virtue, or Taren. Take your pick.

message 72: by Just Plain Ray (new)

Just Plain Ray (Ray_of_Sunshine) | 1110 comments I've already drawn Virtue a couple of times so...Hmm, I should put the names in a hat.

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

Go for it.

Heh... something about putting their names in a hat is really funny to me.

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

Ingenious! Well Done Michael. And you have really nice handwriting, I can't read my own handwriting... which is really bad when I need to actually be able to read them.

message 77: by Michael, Illustrator. (Seriously, I'm happy to do commissions.) (new)

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
Thanks. I'm relatively happy with how the illustrations came out. It looks like some sort of... I don't know. It came out alright. I may have to re do the circles around it on the ground.

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

Did you add this to the group photos?

message 79: by Michael, Illustrator. (Seriously, I'm happy to do commissions.) (new)

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
I just did.

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

Great, we need to keep record of everything on here.

message 81: by Michael, Illustrator. (Seriously, I'm happy to do commissions.) (new)

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
Keep records? How so? An archive of the stories?

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

You never know when you could use ideas like this. It could come in handy once in a while.

message 83: by [deleted user] (new)

oh, and post 100!! Bahaha

message 84: by Michael, Illustrator. (Seriously, I'm happy to do commissions.) (new)

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
Kataury, you seem to have lost me. I am really tired right now. Such as keeping story ideas in here? Or sketches of things?

message 85: by [deleted user] (new)

eh... nevermind, I'll emphasize later when I'm also not dead on my feet. I still have to finish several things... ugh.

message 86: by Michael, Illustrator. (Seriously, I'm happy to do commissions.) (new)

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
Ugh. I empathize. I think it's just expected of us as students... to be constantly acting. haha.

message 87: by [deleted user] (new)

Agreed... I hate pre calc.... -_-

What grade are you in right now, Kataury?

message 89: by [deleted user] (last edited Sep 09, 2010 04:53PM) (new)

eh... I'm a sophomore in all honesty. You?

message 90: by Michael, Illustrator. (Seriously, I'm happy to do commissions.) (last edited Sep 09, 2010 09:06PM) (new)

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
I'm doing 10th grade work at the moment, so I suppose I'm also a sophomore. Though I'm homeschooled... so it's kind of a blur. Haha.

message 91: by [deleted user] (new)

Homeschool eh? Have you always been homeschooled?

message 92: by Michael, Illustrator. (Seriously, I'm happy to do commissions.) (new)

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
I was in a school (Rochester School of the Arts) for a few months last year, but it just didn't work out. So I'm back here. I'm taking a class or two at a community college to add to my education where my parents can't cover it.

message 93: by [deleted user] (new)

How interesting... You still have to follow the basic curriculum right? Or is can you go about any fundamentals so long as you're learning what needs to be learned?

message 94: by Michael, Illustrator. (Seriously, I'm happy to do commissions.) (new)

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
It's... looser than your first option, and slightly stricter than the second, though it certainly leans towards the latter. The school district tells us what we have to learn by the end of the school year, and we can learn that in any way we see fit.

message 95: by [deleted user] (new)

That's pretty nice. I don't mind going to school, I just also find it frustrating to have to work on subjects that don't need a lot of time but you waste it anyway on learning about it. But I suppose I do like the simple routine method to keep some order in my life.

Michael Dolan | 1272 comments Mod
I enjoyed both sides, to an extent. Eventually, I found that I functioned far better with relative autonomy, but working with many peers and having a regular schedule was nice as well. There's some schedule here, but not that same certainty.

Also. To all members of this group... thanks for just being awesome. It's uncommon to find so many cool people who are also skilled writers. This really is the only real reason I get on goodreads anymore... So thanks, all!
