This is the fourth? Fifth? book in the series that I have read (so far). Love her writing style, but they are starting to seem the same.

IF you like these books you should start watching the tv series based off her books. It is called Bones and is the best show ever! its on channel 12 at 8:00-9:00 and on tnt most weekdays from 5-8.
I think the show and books are great. I have read a few and feel I need to start at the beginning to really get the scoop on how it all got started. I like the fact that you don't need to read them in sequence to understand the storyline of each book.
I have watched the show from the beginning and absolutely love it. I finally got round to reading the books about 6 months ago and read all of them in about a month. I thought they were great and have already pre-ordered the next in the series. I love that the show and the books are completely different but equally entertaining. Usually I get upset when series don't follow the books but in this instance I like the way they are both done.
Well, that's what I was going to say... Don't read the books expecting the Tempe from Bones! VERY different Temperance Brennan!! The book one is not socially awkward, not really anyway. Has a grown daughter and an ex-husband. She lives in Montreal half of the year and the other half in Charlotte, NC.I love them both though!
The books and the character of Temperance in the books are great. The series was pretty good in the beginning. However, Tempe in the series started getting on my nerves. Usually people evolve, but she got 'weirder' by the episode. The characters in the books are more likeable and realistic. And Andrew Ryan...my imagination says he's more of a 'hottie' than Booth is. I did not feel the books were alike, they all had different themes (bikers, plane crashes, serial killers, sects. war victims, organ traffic, ...).
