no I think he's a Spanish ! he loved her first and he made sure to marry her pretending that he's doing it for his grandma's sake
I remember that the heroine is afraid of thunder and that she accepted to go to spain to forget the man she loved cause he's married! any ideas??
the book I'm looking for is where the hero made a deal with the heroine's sister to act as his fiancee to his his grandma so the heroine's sister took the money but she brook the arrangement because she's engaged and she doesn't want her fiancee to know about this arrangement! so she asked her sister (heroine) to go in her place !and the heroine agreed because she want to get away from her former boyfriend because she discovered that he's a married man with children! when the H meet the h he loved her and he decided to make the arrangement a real one ! he is so gentle with the h and so patient and he tried to make her jealous by faking interest in his neighbor I think her name is segnora mendoza haha ! please I want to read this book
Help! There was a book I requested help finding a few years ago and now I really wish I could read the book and guess what, I can’t for the life of me recall the title again!The h and H came from the same town. The H left home because his family life was bad. Meanwhile the h always loved him. So years later, she decided to go look him up, it turns out she arrived at a time he lost a close friend and the brand of comfort she offered resulted in a pregnancy. The H did the honourable thing in marrying but it was a MOC.
A friend from their old town came to visit what she assumed was a blissfully wedded couple and inadvertently blotted out the true reason behind the h’s visit. The H felt deceived and used and became cold and distant to the h.
They ended up resolving the issue and living HEA when the H discovered how much he loved the h after he thought he lost her and their baby in an accident.
Please help with title!

So in this book I remember reading the heroine escapes from her evil uncle to marry the H for political reasons (I think one of them is the true Heir to the throne?) and the H is very suspicious of her but not very cruel. The only other thing I remember is that she was terrified of dogs because her uncle used to hunt her and her sister with his dogs. It's a desert/sheik-ish sort of setting iirc.
Iirc the hero has the same kind of dog and the heroine eventually makes her peace with the dog

@Moonz no it isn't the book I'm looking for! the Hero in this book is sweet and gentle and so patient! he didn't force the h to do anything she didn't want! I remember that he respected her request to have separated rooms and that the consummation of their marriage was the night when she run to him in his room because she was scared of thunder! I also remember that her fear of storms and thunder is because she lost her parents in accident in the same circumstances. I hope this will help! please any ideas??

I am trying to find the name of a book I read years ago. I think I posted in the wrong place earlier. This is my first time on this site and I was confused about how to do it. Sorry! The book is a Harlequin from the 1980s I think. The H is a female engineer. When she shows up at the H's house, he is expecting her to be a man. Her name is Carlyle or Carlisle or something similar. At one point, she goes to a ghost town and he rescues her after she injures herself. I think breas or sprains her ankle. It was the first romance I ever read and would love to read again. Thanks for any help.

She may have but I was thinking Carlyle or Carlisle was her first name and the H says something about it being a man's name. I just remember the H though she was a man and when she showed up he was upset that she was female. When they go to the ghost town, she ends up spraining her ankle i think it was and they have to spend the night in a cabin. I wish I remembered more but I read it 20 or more years ago.

Hi, I’ve been looking for one for a while and can’t remember if I posted here. I’m worried that my problem is that I’m possibly blurring two books plots together but here’s what I think I remember : For sure:
She jilted him. She has to come back to her small town for some reason, and he decides to make her fall for him again and then jilt her himself for revenge. Of course they both fall for each other, but he feels the need to go through it anyway, and ends up watching her leave on a bus before realizing he needs to go after her.
Pretty sure: She reveals at the end that a pregnancy loss had to do with her original leaving.
Maybe: (but possibly blurred from another book) I think she came home for an Aunt’s funeral and to clear out her house. I think he lived over a bar (here’s where I feel like I’m maybe blurring two second chance type books together - because I also remember one where she was an interior designer and had a skylight put in for him that ended up dripping on them) and was maybe like a cowboy/western sort.

There’s an old school Harley that involves the h having extensive plastic surgery that leaves her very beautiful. However, she developed an allergic reaction to a chin implant, which had to be removed. This is why she runs away from the hero: she thinks he’s too shallow to love her looking differently. Anyone remember this?
This is a story that I read in the 80´s. The h has to become the mistress, so to avoid this she puts chives in his meal one evening - as he is allergic she can avoid the night. On the third night she pretends to slip in the shower and put her back out. I remember her dancing with glee just before the doctor comes.

Hello, I need help. In the book I’m looking for , the H is a sheikh and the h is his wife and she is missing. The H is told by an aide that someone who looks very much like his wife was seen singing in a bar, I think in Las Vegas. Theirs was a MOC , the h mother is american and the father is a very important arab and the H married her for political reasons. The h had a severe postpartum depression and walked away into the desert . I think she lost her memory...Thanks for any help

Looking for a book where heroine is on vacation at her friends place or female relative,but she has run of with hero's nephew\son, hero comes to her demanding to know where nephew\son is, the friend comes back with nephew\son and hero invites everyone including heroine to dinner, hero teases heroine at dinner whispering to her, heroines friend threatens hero in the garden saying she will say he attacked her and heroine will back her up ,heroine refuses and returns home but hero goes after her and brings her back. Please help with finding this book.
Pls help to find this book. I think the H is h's boss and only remember the ending when the heroes get stuck in the H's artist mother's flooded house. Turned out his mother already had left that house when she heard about the flooding. The heroes went there because the H was worried about his mother and that his mother had paintings in that house.
Hello! I’ve been searching for this book and can’t remember the name. The heroine falls for her friend’s older brother. She’s poor while they are rich, they have a cattle ranch. Her and the brother do start a relationship but the sister makes a mistake and says the heroine was making out with her boyfriend. There is a huge fight and the heroine leaves. She ends ups graduating college alone and the leaves town to teach. She is stabbed and the hero is called.
