Thank you so much for your help! But i don't think this is the book, haven't read anything from this author. :(
I can't really remember much, too many details in my head. But I clearly remember that it was H's mother who discovered the baby. and the H's family is kind of rich like a royalty or something...

The only one that I clearly recall the "are you pregnant yet" would be this one. I'm not optimistic though. The hero is truly awful.
The Unwanted Wife

Thank you for helping!
The Unwanted Wife and The Price of a Bride are two books that seem similar to the book I’m looking for, but it’s definitely neither of them. In the book I read I don’t think the forced pregnancy was the main part of the story, it was just something that happened towards the end.
Edit: Finally located the book! It was Valley of the Devil by Yvonne Whittal (h was upset that her baby was supposedly conceived in exchange for a loan.) Also the H wasn't quite so vengeful and ice-cold...I might have mixed him up with a H from a Penny Jordan book.

A Late Loving by Robyn Donald

Bitter Encore Helen Bianchin

Point of No Return Rachel Lee

thank you very much boogengagen it's the book i've been looking for

happy reading :P

The Petrelli Heir
by Kim Lawrence

The Marriage Betrayal
(The Volakis Vow #1)

Bride for Real
(The Volakis Vow #2)

Thats it! Thank you.

Thanks so much. That's it.

Is it The Bride in Blue ? I haven't read it for years. This is brothers, not twins, the other parts seem to match - deathbed promise, father of baby already married etc. boogenhagen wrote a wonderful review that will give you all the details to confirm whether this is it or not.

thanks se but it's not the book i'm looking... in my book the brothers are identical twins and their names was very similar and the heroine thought she was really married to his brother she didn't know that he signed the marriage certificate using hero's name .... h and H pretend that the baby is his so they don't hurt deceased brother widow

the book I'm looking for is about an actress who takes a vacation on a beach resort some time after working on a set where she had to play an overweight character, while on vacation she runs into a former actor who she was in love with while working on the set but she didn't think he noticed her, heard a conversation regarding her weight so she was heartbroken. he doesn't recognize who she is because of the weight loss since a few years has passed since their filming and when he realizes his mistake it's too late....this book would have been published some time in the 70's or 80's. i think it was an American modern day setting of its time. i cannot remember names of the characters only this brief synopsis ....

Not a perfect match, but the basic outline sounds like Madeleine Ker's Duel of Passion
Differences: the hero is a financier and the "home" setting is England, not America. Mostly, Duel of Passion is memorable for the hero being a superficial jerk who (view spoiler) .

That could be so many. Do you remember the city or anything else about the characters?

I don't really remember anything except that the H follows the h. The book opens when the H is in his car, he goes into the shop or boutique where the h is working and she is folding clothes or talking to a client. After the work he follows her home, I think and he sees his son.

I'm sorry. My guess is Boogenhagen will be along to save the day. Hope you find it.

Maybe The Secret His Mistress Carried by Lynne Graham?

What i can remember goes like this: the H and h meet at an airport because of a storm and all flights were cancelled and they hit it off and have a one night stand. Months later they randomly meet again at work and i think she's got a baby.
Thats all i remember thanks in advance

I think I may remember more details but not the book. Do they meet in an airport, hero is a business partner or known to her father, they speak on the phone and he tells the father he will look after her. I think they spend the night in a nearby hotel.

Thanks boogenhagen, no idea whether it's the one Alexandra was looking for but it's the one I was thinking of. Have to re-read now.

I remember reading it and laughing because the heroine went to David Jones to buy something nice to wear to go to the races. The night before they had dinner at a Thai restaurant, I think. Thinking Emma Darcy or Miranda Lee. My laptop was stolen so I can't search.

Thanks but this isn't it. I remember that the heroes meet for the very first time at the airport. In fact i think the book stars out with the H at an airport where a woman flirts with him and he remembers when the h, many months ago, flirted with him and their hook up

A friend of mine is looking for a book she read in the past (some decades ago), but she can't remember the title:

Surprised you haven't read Cozakis Bride Vashti knowing you are a LG fan like me. It's my fav and rates at the top amongst her best books for me.

I remember this story where the book opens with h being married to her friend in a marriage of convenience . They do that coz their families are rivals or something. Now h's friend is in love with H's daughter .
H ofcourse objects to the married and h is all set to assure him that her friend would make a fine husband .
Can anyone remember this book name ?

sounds like Fortune's Mistress

I keep thinking of it as an Abby Green book but I can't find it on her list... anyone have an idea?

The only book I can think of is Second Chances by Sharon Sala. I know they first met in an airport. I seem to remember that there was a storm, but I can't remember if they went to a hotel. I do remember that the h was a college friend of the H's son. She didn't know who the friend's father was until a group of them went to his father's ranch. That's when she realized that the H was her friend's father.

The Virgin's Shock Baby 2 book series by Heidi Rice.
The Virgin's Secret is Abby Green, h breaks in to H's place to try and return something her father stole - during a party.

I can't remember the following clearly
-Whether h & OW were sisters (I think they were)
-Whether H-h marry in the book (I think they did)
-Whether H was blind or had a leg injury. Which is why OW left him and he married the h.
All I remember is one scene almost at the end where the hero undergoes a surgery I think on coaxing by h who is part sad that if the surgery is successful & H can see/or walk he would marry the OW who is back sure that the surgery will be successful. The more I think abt it, the more I feel H was blind. So when the bandages were off and doc, h, & OW, are waiting to hear if he can see, he tells them he can't.
He then overhears the OW tell the doc she cannot live with a blind/cripple all her life whereas h tells the doc she loves the H and doesn't care about his blindness or that he cannot walk. Turns out H deliberately lied about surgery not being successful to bring out the OW's selfishness.
Hope someone helps me in finding the name of the book
