Hi i know you guys are amazing at helping can anyone pls help find this book i read from a lending library a few yrs back. All i can remember about the book is the girl wakes up in a strange room finds a stranger in bed whom she has made love with. she quitely slips away i dont remember if he gets up it is a motel or hotel room. Later i recall she becomes pregnant. The guy insists on engagement. I dont remember much else other then a name george or georgie seems to ring a bell. probably H is a lawyer. Its a old M&B or HArlequin with one of the royal blue covers. The story i think is set in a small town of america. And i think the girls house or farm is a little away from main town.recall that when the H insists on an engagement ring they drive to a nearby town to buy an engagement ring whether that was to avoid public scrutiny or because there is no reputable jeweler in town I don't know . girl feels in the beginning that she is tomboy and decides to let go for one night either it is Christmas/new year/or some birthday party in which she has drunk herself. She also probably works with horses

Hi! I am looking for a vintage one. What I remember is that the h’s father died and she had to go to remote Malaysia I think to give her father’s second wife and illegitimate child their inheritance. I think she stows away on the H’s boat and wasn’t discovered until too late to send her back. The H takes the h travelling downriver to get to the remote village. They do the deed. He says he isn’t interested. She is heartbroken. Later the story picks up with H randomly walking into travel agency where h works. He discovers they have a son together. Some drama. H kidnaps son from school as a way to get h on a boat and they live happily ever after. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any leads!

Okay, I am now looking for another one. Memory is super hazy though but here goes. I think it was some kind of guardian ward kinda thing, h loved H since she was a school girl and I believe he looked after her - maybe picks her up from boarding school. Step mother makes a play for H. I think h and H do the deed when she is of age. Stepmother knows h is nearby and says something to the H about some time they were at the snow but didn’t go skiing maybe because H has a broken leg. Of course h reads more into this than there was which is what stepmother intended? Heroine flees to France I think book was set in London, where she stays with an older guy who is gay but in the fashion industry and she becomes a model. Can’t remember much of the rest. Maybe there was a charity auction where a prize was a date with the h but I really can’t remember. Any bells ringing at all? Not sure if I have confused a couple of books. Thx peeps!

Maybe Intimate Enemies by Jessica Steele, but it is set in England - otherwise it matches up pretty closely.

Hi everyone! Okay so I know this is really spontaneous or whatever but I'm looking for this book about a detective who is looking into the disappearance of a little kid who was last seen on an elevator and a witness who was on the elevator is a man who survived a plane crash with a group of people by becoming cannibals and at the end of the book the detective deduces that the group of people in the elevator were the ones who survived (and apparently have a meeting every once in a while to talk about how good it was to be a cannibal) and ate the kid in there. Thank you, i know it's kind of a long shot

Wrong place to look, however, I think you're after More Horowitz Horror: More Stories You'll Wish You'd Never Read Series of short stories, one of which is "The Elevator" story about the boy in the lift/elavator.

Is the hero of the book the "declared / illegitimate heir" or the mischief maker? Is it part of a series? Any other info?

I'm trying to help someone find this book. It doesn't sound familiar to me and she can remember what line the book is from or what the cover looked like. Hopefully someone here can help.

I started reading Harlequin when I was a young teen. My mom always read them and finally let me read them and I was so excited. This one book I'm looking for has been etched in my memory as one of the first ones I read. I'm guessing it was published some time around 1997/1998. I remember the story was about a woman who left her husband (can't remember why) and that he tricks her into coming to the hospital for in patient treatment. She was pregnant and he did not know. The in patient treatment was for the husband to kick smoking of all things. That's about all I remember about it. I would really love to read this book again! Through the thousands I have read since then I still remember this story! Thank you for any help!

Please help me to find this one. I remember that the H and h were on his private plane. There was a stewardess and the H thought about that he previously had had sex with her in the same cabin the h occupied now on their flight.

Sorry I forgot to add that the H was rich but not titled. The h didn't like or hated the H.

The heroine works as a PA for the hero's uncle who is a QC and actually her father. She's taken the job to find out why he abandoned her at birth. The hero is a QC too and works with his uncle. Also, the uncle's daughter, who is half-sister to heroine, tells the heroine at the first meeting "We've all heard what a paragon you are." And, the cover is green.

Looking for an HP -- I am frustrated because I skimmed through it recently with the intent to read it later. Now I can't remember the title. I think the h and H are married. The H had a reputation as a player. In the last 1/3 of the book he went on a business trip. The h did not go with him. He was photographed going into his apartment building (had the penthouse there) with another woman. The next morning he was photographed leaving the building with the same woman. The h is very upset and won't let him explain anything. She leaves - or goes to another of his properties. A good friend of the H's comes to see the h -- bringing along his sister (the woman). Apparently she was having an affair with a married man who had an apartment in the same building. To avoid being caught with him, she set the H up - made sure the photographers were there to see her with the H. The plot didn't make any sense to me because she knew the H was married yet she was worried about being caught with another married man but thought nothing of setting up the H.

Does anyone know the title?
