Vintage (vintagesedona) | 312 comments I know you guys know this...

Looking for a Lynne Graham book where the H has just left his model GF's apartment after finding her with another woman. Yes, WOMAN. His car almost runs over a poor little Orphan Annie single mom with her baby boy.

The H picks her up and takes her home and, shock, marries her. Shenanigans ensue.

Sound familiar? I thought I had reviewed it but can't find it.

Thanks!!

Alexandra | 10 comments Hi! so all I remember of the book is that the since the very beginning h was nervous because her and H’s first anniversary was around the corner and rumor has it that his relationships didn't pass the one-year mark. And I think at some point H lost his memory right before an important meeting – so that bought h a little bit of time in terms of their anniversary – and then he got his memory back because weeks later he was getting ready for the same meeting but saw a calendar and realised weeks had passed by.

I really hope you guys can help me. I'll be forever grateful.

Rhina Luu | 3 comments I need help finding a book!
The h is a surgeon and the H is... eh.. rich? They are married but on the verge of separation bc their lives were too busy w work. She saved a little boy who felt off a cliff and broke his legs (i think). Oh i think of the problem in their marriage is the H thinks h work is getting in the way of their marriage and h thinks H doesnt respect her job enough bc alpha ego. The h recieved a mentorship w some famous guy and she would have to move somewhere far away? And she volunteer to go to Africa and something? My memory is really bad, so sorry for this confusing mess...haha...

Laurence Anthony | 3 comments hey guys I hope you can help me find this harlequin novel where mother in law was against the marriage so the hero severed ties with his family. While on his way home from a job the hero got into an accident, The heroine who just had a baby without enough money to pay for the hero's operation contacted the hero's mother. She then was forced to decide to leave her husband and child in exchange for the hero's mother to pay for his operation. Few years later, the hero's mother already dead with just his sister who was a witness to the scene between heoine and mother in law in the hospital, the heroine came back and took a position as a nanny since the hero refused to introduce the heroine to the child. Can someone please name the title of this book.

Sounds familiar. It's a similar (not quite the same) premise to One Christmas Night in Venice by Jane Porter, which I've read over and over. The mother in-law tells them both the other is dead. The hero Domenico is raising his son alone. MIL is now deceased and the hero has a sister. The heroine was told her son died at birth.

Will keep thinking about what it could be.

Any idea whether Desire or Presents? Do you recall nationality of the hero?

message 2216: by Mary (new)

Mary Hedrick | 11 comments I am looking for 2 Harlequin Presents:

First one is: The h leaves the H right after giving birth to their son, because she finds out she has cancer while she is pregnant. She does not tell him and she thinks the worst of her. This is a really good book.

Another one is:

I believe they are royal and they really do love each other and need to have a child, but the h is having some female issues and she cant get pregnant, but she can't let the H know because she needs to give him a child. I kind of remember one scene in the book where the h has started her period and she has really bad pain.

Any help would be great.

message 2217: by StMargarets (new)

StMargarets | 112 comments I think the first is Abby Green's wonderful The Spaniard's Marriage Bargain.

The second is Lucy Monroe's angsty The Scorsolini Marriage Bargain.

Se Mcgregor | 550 comments Interesting how Spaniard's Marriage Bargain, seems to come up quite a lot. I guess the story must stick with people.

This is a re-post. I have searched and searched for it. Also posted on harlequin forum and no luck there. Late 80's or 90's. Not after year 2000.

Could also be a Silhouette, not sure. Think it was a Harlequin "super-romance" - bigger than a standard m&b. H meets H at her ranch. He has investments in the area I think - maybe he owns the ranch she works on? I "think" H had been living with an older relative, perhaps grandfather who was recently deceased, so hero could be something to do with the estate. I think she is either a farmer or horse breeder(?) they fall in love, get married then go to live in the city. Hero is wealthy but not billionaire status. All his work is in the city so he insists they move there. She hates the city, but tries to fit in, I recall her having a t-shirt tan and couldn't find suitable gown to wear to a gala evening.

Trying to appear more sophisticated like his friends, heroine gets all her long hair chopped off. On the way home, she gets mugged, drenched and has to walk a long way. The H has to let her go, knowing that the city life is killing her. This leads to her heading back to the farm. They reconcile when H moves his business to nearest city (no idea where) so that he can commute when necessary and they can live HEA on the ranch.

Cocky Jen | 19 comments I'm looking for a book where the heroine is I believe pressured by her family to marry the hero, whom she has never met. She decides that she wants to loose her virginity and not give it to her soon to be husband. I think the hero is a wealthy businessman, and if I remember, she sleeps with this "stranger" who turns out to the be the man she was to marry anyways. I can't remember their names so any help is much appreciated.

Fanniny Moreno Zavaleta | 99 comments I'm looking for a book where the hero goes to a gentleman's club (?) and finds heroine working there so he thinks she's a stripper/prostitute but she is not, she's a dancer or actress. H and h knew each other before so he wants to help her to get out from "that life". Hope someone remembers this.

How long ago did you read it? Any idea on location - UK, USA, Europe, Australia?

I have one suggestion. She goes to gentlemen's club for a performance to keep her theatre pub going.
Unfinished Business with the Duke by Heidi Rice.

Fanniny,

Could it be The Object of the Game by Vanessa James?

message 2233: by Fanniny (new)

Fanniny Moreno Zavaleta | 99 comments It was Unfinished business with the duke, thank you both Se and KC!

Mou: Fae of Heartfelt ARC | 85 comments I forgot the book title and author name, But I remember the teaser of the book was not that big, may be 4/5 lines. The teaser is something like that the hero was a sheikh or desert crown prince and he has to marry. It was an arranged marriage and the hero thought the heroine was cold, but after marrying he find the heroine is very passionate. I don't remember anything else. Any idea??

Thanks in Advances and ignore my English.

message 2235: by Vintage (new)

Vintage (vintagesedona) | 312 comments Okay HP'ers,

Can you recall an HP where the hero tries to make amends for his now dead, evil half-brother who rapes a young girl. The H hears about it and that she has a child.

He rescues the girl, takes her to the Italian/Sicilian ??? homestead where his evil father tries to gain control of the son of his favorite son.

Oops, forgot to mention the h has a creep step-brother who is after her as well.

Thanks!!~

Chantal ❤️ | 26 comments That sounds like Penny Jordan's book does it have the date rape drug in it?

message 2237: by Vintage (new)

Vintage (vintagesedona) | 312 comments I think so. It's already happened when the H hears about it at the low-life brothers funeral I think.

Rape. Date rape drug. I should have known it would be Penny Jordan.

Hi Mou - Any guess on how old it could be?

Only guess without more info would be Wedlocked: Banished Sheikh, Untouched Queen

Hi Se, Wedlocked: Banished Sheikh, Untouched Queen, here hero is banished and marrying to gain power, but in my book the hero is already a ruling king and I remember, the heroine is a foreign beauty. I think the book was published after 2000. First I thought it was a Penny Jordan's book but it wasn't.

I don't read a lot of sheikh books. The hero is a king in this one, and it probably isn't the right one since there's no mention of the sperm bank mix up in your request. But I'll put it out there anyway. Carrying the Sheikh's Heir

message 2245: by Emily (new)

Emily Longmann | 2 comments Hello i am unable to recall the name of this book . It begins with heroine waking up in the hospital after meeting an accident... A secret child based story.. when Hero is informed that she took medicine for Fever and Hero mistakes it as drugs.. He takes the child and heroine to his island where heroine has a nurse.
