Cathy Norfin | 56 comments Help!
Looking for a an older HP - If I remember correctly - it is probably from the 70 or 80s - I have been researching and looking for a long time and unable to find :-(

The beginning starts out with the heroine (who is a nanny) going to ski with the children that she is governing with the father of the children. The mother is evidently at home in bed not feeling well. The scene I remember is all of them in the car driving together going to ski.

So fast forward and they return home from the ski venture and the next thing that I remember is drama of some sort and the mother of the children asking the nanny - ( heroine )- if she would go to see a man who lives on a ranch/farm to talk with him for the mother. I believe he is a bullfighter. Evidently the mother believes that she and this man are having a love affair of some sort, but the man, if I remember correctly, states that he is not having a love affair with the mother.

The heroine arrives at the ranch - (enter the Hero - which is the man the mother thinks that she is having an affair with) When she arrives at the ranch/farm, somehow the Hero decides he wants this girl as his wife and he does everything he can to coerce her to marry him. I think he actually demands it. At one point, I do remember he takes her to a bullfight to watch him, but somehow she escapes from the arena and tries to leave, but then enter an awful, crazy OW - who tries to place the heroine in danger of some sort.

I hope that I do not have two books mixed up - but if you remember anything similar to what I have mentioned, any suggestions would be appreciated. I have been going crazy looking for this book. :-(

Thanks again you all for trying :-)

Romance books are fiction. Not as many billionaires as they would have you believe wandering around either.

eg. There a a couple of thousand billionaires globally, less than 20 of those from Greece - yet so many books about them!
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wor...

The last king of Greece was deposed in the 70's then monarchy was abolished.

I know that they came to live in the UK (until a couple of years ago when they returned to Greece, where they live now without their titles and a simple -but rich- civilians) because of all the tax they owed, not because the referendum that kicked them out of office (I hope we get a similar result on the Windsors some time this century in the UK) also kicked them out of the country. They are known as 'ex' so and so everywhere.

Taryn | 4 comments Hi! I am looking for one of the books in a series about a family of guys who each find their wives in their respective books. This hero has a one night stand and the heroine ends up pregnant. The guy refuses to believe her because he had been duped once by his previous wife, who left with the young boy he believed was his son until the ex wife said he was not. The hero demands a parternity test but decides to get married in the meantime (the hero is a billionaire by the way.) They move to an idyllic house somewhere next to the ocean and the hero slowly begins to break down and love the heroine. Then a partenity test comes in (which turns out to be wrong) but he throws the heroine out. Eventually he realizes he loves her anyway and flies out to find her (I think she had moved to Florida to adopt the son I mentioned earlier who ended up being orphaned.) Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

It is . It's The Tycoon's Secret Affair (The Anetakis Tycoons #3):

She hadn't known she'd slept with the boss. But the next morning Jewel Henley learned the exotic stranger who'd swept her off her feet was her new employer, Piers Anetakis. And before she could explain, Jewel found herself without a job...and pregnant. After five months Piers had finally tracked down his one-night lover. Determined to explain the mistakes that had been made, he was confronted with an undeniable truth. Jewel was carrying his child. His Greek honor demanded they marry. Yet was there more between them than lust...and was it enough to make their marriage of convenience last?

Dani | 3 comments Hi! So I'm trying to find 2 books 1) he's a billionaire/millionaire who comes from a poor past clawed his way out all I can really remember is she found his "birth certificate" (he's an orphan and when he was left at the orphanage they made one for him cause he didn't know his birthday or how old he was) and she surprised him with a cake and he admits its the first time he's ever had a birthday cake and 2) he grew up on the docks of Greece (?) And became a shipping magnate then marries her because she came from a good family name. She marries him to escape her abusive dad. Years later they're still not in love she's had several miscarriages and the book starts when he finds out she's seeing someone (she was sneaking off to see her brother who neither of them knew about until recently) they start talking finally and fall in love that's all i can remember please help!

2 - Very easy, I just re-read it two days ago. It's book two in a four?book series by Dani Collins.
More than a Convenient Marriage?

Could book 1 be one of Carol Marinelli's Do you recall if he is Russian? In - Bound to the Warrior King by Maisey Yates, the hero doesn't know his age and they discuss how he has never received a birthday cake.

Yes it was UK based actually! I can't be sure which decade but I would guess late 90s to early 2000s. I'm sorry I can't remember more, I read it years ago. The hero drove a huge truck and had to lift her in on their first date

message 1932: by Kristin (last edited Jan 23, 2016 07:10AM) (new)

Kristin (bookloverinva) | 35 comments I'm looking for a Harlequin from the 1990's, I don't even know what line it would have been from...possibly not a Harlequin, maybe a Precious Gems Romance. I only recall the vaguest of details...The hero is a military pilot and the story is about a son he didn't know existed, I think, there's definitely a young son in the story. It's set in the western part of the USA, Nevada possibly? The hero really likes Walt Whitman, that's the biggest thing that I remember. I *think* the cover had a man and aviator sunglasses on it but I'm not positive.

Sounds a bit like The Pregnancy Affair by Anne Mather. Hero drives a truck/4WD, she is wearing very high heels and he does have to lift her up - they were briefly married as teenagers. The hero was close to her father who had a farm. Not sure it's the same one though, maybe too many differences to your recollection. I threw hundreds of my old M&B out when I moved house. Mainly keep electronic collection these days - easier to search through.

Se Mcgregor | 550 comments I'm looking for a 90's book. Could be Silhouette, not sure. Think it was a "super-romance" - bigger than a standard m&b. H meets H at her ranch. She is a farmer, they fall in love, I think they get married then go to live in the city. Not sure, he might be a lawyer. She hates the city, but tries to fit in, I recall her having a t-shirt tan and couldn't find suitable gown to wear to gala evening. I think she gets mugged leading to her leaving the H and heading back to the farm.

If it's set in NSW north coast, many Miranda Lee books are set there.

message 1941: by Moriah (new)

Moriah Okay, I’ve searched by the only keywords I remember, but came up with nothing.

I am looking for an old Silhouette (the ones with the purple border on the cover). I think early 80s.

The heroine had amnesia. As she and the hero went walking in the woods one day, they either found a dog or it was the hero’s dog. Anyway, it was walking funny and in pain or something. The heroine examined it and popped its shoulder back in place, because it was dislocated.

Turns out, she was a veterinarian.

Anybody remember this?

TIA!

Sumita Haldar | 13 comments this is a harlequin i read really long ago and also it is quite old.
small town, second chance kind of story, the heroine is from the wrong side of track, Hero comes from rich family and Heros family does not like heroine at all. heroine leaves the town dont remember why but she comes back later. meanwhile Hero is engaged to a nice homely school teacher. However once Heroine is back hero and heroine cannot stay away from each other and then HEA. I remember one scene where hero and heroine are really intimate and the hero's mother comes into the house.

Thanks in advance for the help to identify the name.

Liyah | 26 comments hi!
I'm looking for an older harlequin.
I think î read it about two years ago but it's definitely an older one.

so, the heroine was only 17 or 18 when she married the older H.
she left England (I think) with the H. they moved to wherever he came from.
the Health owns a Farm or smth like that. it's still growing, so he has to put in a lot of work, work he shares with his Assistant that hashe a slight obsession with him. The Assistant- ow puts a lot of effort into keeping the Hero away from home-his wife. h starts to get jealous.

she's having temper tantrums and keeps fighting with the H.
H keeps calling her Childish (well DUUUHH you married a freaking teen -.-')

anyways have gets fed up, packs and leaves.

a few years later.

the h is in the hospital with (forgot what kind of sickness.)
anyways, the doctor tells her mother that she needs to leave England and England and the cold weather.
her mother doesn't have enough money to make it happen, so she calls the H. He comes an takes sick h back to the farm. OW is still his assistant. blah blah blah....

H rapes h, gets her pregnant.
h tries to run off again.
H figures out that the OW is a lying lunatic, runs after h and begs for forgiveness.

would be great if someone could help me.
thanks!!
