Cam (camthereader) | 1 comments Hi, I heard about this book from a friend who can't remember the title nor the author and hope someone can help since it sounds good. The story is about an older guy, could be working already or in college (medical school?) and younger girl (college girl?). They fall in love and she gets pregnant. While he was away, she started bleeding and she was rushed to the hospital. Her aunt (who disapproved of the relationship) told her she had a miscarriage. Both the H and h for some reason separate. Years later, the h has her own business (I think!) and they bump into each other, h later looks for him and tells him that she suspects that her aunt lied about the miscarriage and that the baby is alive. It's an old Harlequin/MB book, probably from the 80s.

Chinenye Nwachukwu | 1 comments i really need help guys, i read this book while i was 16 or so, i'm 20 now and i really want to reread it cos i loved it then. i know its a harlequin presents, the male character is Nick, he's posing as an artist to the female character meanwhile he's also a big time executive in a merchant bank, the female character is also a banker engaged to a lawyer, she's nicks childhood friend and she came back to claim a property of her grandfather, but while she arrives, nick also claims her grandfather gave it to his grandfather during a card game, while they were battling over the property, they fell in love again since they kinda loved each other in their teenage years. plllsss hellp, this novel is sooo passionate, and i'd love to read it again and again.

Loreli | 26 comments I'm looking for a good marriage of convenience book. Read one eons ago that I remember about an English businessman marries and puts wife in the country while he lives his life... But basically I want to read a good one.. Any suggestions?

message 1067: by Leona (last edited Sep 17, 2013 03:24AM) (new)

Leona (wdwcbm) | 373 comments Lorelei - I just finished The Slender Thread by Yvonne Whittal which is very vintage HP.

Also, Betty Neel does a ton of MOC's (it's her trademark). My favorite of hers is The Final Touch. So if you like a gentle romance, Betty is a good one to read.

Bride For A Year (The Big Event!) was good too! A lot of angst.

Roub (roubina) | 34 comments MOC in one of my fav themes too. today itself i read Ruthless Magnate, Convenient Wife (Pregnant Brides, #2) n really enjoyed it;)

neway here r some of my fav wid this theme:
-> When Enemies Marry (my favourite when i was a teenager!)

-> The Sultan's Choice (my all time favourite!)

-> The Royal Marriage (By Royal Command) (a really good one!)

-> Sensation (they actually got married 4 convenience n on the wedding night hero broke his promise n raped her. towards the end, he told her he cud not regret as he enjoyed himself too much. he wanted her badly)

-> To Love, Honor and Betray

-> The Forced Bride

-> Bride In Blue (Wedlocked!) (pregnant wid hero's brother's child)

-> Executive Lady

-> The Santangeli Marriage (the heroine was mean)

-> A Husband of Convenience (the heroine was pregnant wid hero's brother's child. hero seizes the opportunity 2 have sex wid heroine when she suffers from amnesia as she does not remember it's a MOC)

-> The Twelve Month Marriage Deal (dat one is absolutely hilarious !! it's a must read !! i can re read it n each time i have a good laugh at the hero's absurdity !! a definite 5 star. n btw he was really an ass !!)

-> Beloved Rake (hilarious too ! a must read definitely !! the heroine is completely dumb n does the most ridiculous things !!)

-> The Bride's Proposition

-> Dark Pursuit (she did not enjoy sex wid her husband at first)

I hated the H in that one. The h deserved someone better. He treated her badly, groveled in the last two pages of the back and they had HEA -- not believable.

Roub (roubina) | 34 comments it was actually a very good book. i really love the start. it's unfortunate dat he did not redeem himself. else it wud have been a 5 star 4me. he's actually the biggest ass i ever read about lol!

message 1081: by Mitchell (new)

Mitchell | 10 comments Hello all! I am looking for an old novel. It's basically a second chance at love plot. H and h slept together. For some reason H leaves. She becomes pregnant but loses the baby. H doesn't know and only learns about it when he returns after maybe 7 years. They obviously get together. I must have read it about 10 years ago. I realise the outline is pretty vague but i would love recommendations on stories with second chances. Thanks.

Karla BookAddict2 (karlabookaddict) | 1 comments Hi.

I'm looking for a book about a married couple that dies in an accident and leave their daughters to be tended by his brother and her sister. The hero, forces the heroine to marry him or he´ll take the girls away from her.

I don't remember much about this title, just that the guy was insanely rich and she was not.

What I do remember is that almost at the end of the book one of the girls is standing over a frozen lake and the heroine rescues the girl but she falls into the ice cold water and the hero rescues her and takes care of her by a fireplace.

I read this book a long long time ago, but I´ve never been able to forget about it and would love to read it again.

If any of you guys can help I would be forever gratefull.

Bt | 3 comments I only read Harlequin Presents on a normal basis. I am looking for a book that it is the guy who can't remember the past. He is at an event of some sort and the girl is there. He actually passes out when he sees her and they call a doctor. They take him to a back room to see the doctor. This can't be more than 3 or 4 years old and maybe newer. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
