Janey Leathers | 4 comments Hi
I can’t recall too much but this is an older HP book. It is part of a 4 book series where there is a matchmaker and she has helped match people in the first 3 books. It is her story in the 4th book where her ex comes to her to help her match him up too, but he really wants to get back with her
Thanks for any help!

Aranya Sikand | 2 comments A romance novel, an MB most likely. Hero had vasectomy because he was afraid to turn out like his father who used to physically abuse the family. His brother grew up as a troubled man. He therefore refuses to believe that the baby girl the Heroine has had is his but accepts after paternity test. He also finds out that the vasectomy was reversed & schedules to have the procedure again. The heroine finds out about that & leaves the hero & he puts in some kind of ad in a newspaper that has the heroine barge into his office like she did in the beginning when she was fighting him for acknowledgement of paternity. He also had slowly accepted the normal family scenario getting over the fear that he would hurt his child. Also there is a scene where he comes home & finds the flat empty & feels devastated with loss.

When they get together again and are going out together they bump into a model who naturally is. making moves on the H. The same model was making moves on H even when they were not separated. When h questions H he confirms that he had a brief affair with the model six months after h separated from him.

This sounds 90% like The Frenchman's Marriage Demand except the hero had twin baby brothers who died from a genetic illness he was afraid to pass on to any future children. I do feel like I've read the book you're looking for though. Hopefully someone has an answer.

Innocent Secretary Accidentally Pregnant has a similar premise but not a 100% match. Hero doesn’t want children because abusive men run in his family.

C | 44 comments Looking for an HP. There's one scene where the Hero tells the Heroine something upsetting and she flees to the private beach to cry not knowing the Hero is watching from the house (it was a private island somewhere in the Caribbean, iirc). The Hero led the Heroine into a relationship under false pretenses and was trying to find a painting done by her dad whose subject was his sister (whom the Heroine never met as her dad always took great care to keep his women and his daughter separate).

Mari (flamar) | 17 comments Hi, recently I've been trying to reread an old harlequin but dont remember name or author. Is about a woman who works for a gardening magazine and is hired to design the gardens of the new house of a wealthy costructor. She is the typical plain Jane and I think her name was Jane. However, she liked to wear sexy underwear below her non sexy clothes. I believe his name was Blake? And it probably took place in Portland or Oregon or Seattle? Thanks for your help!

ANY ONE? I AM STILL LOOKING FOR THIS BOOK

i think the wife to heroine uncle had her designs on the hero.

another aspect i recall is that an ex boyfriend was trying to bribe the herione but she told him instead of hiding. i also recall that it starts with a sort of engagement party which is arranged due to parents of the heroine wanting it that way in order for the company to stay in family and the hero had been working for the company i think.

i also recall that the wife of the herione uncle was having an affair and when the uncle found out he died i think.

thanks

There was a two part series by Lucy Monroe that matches your description. The first book is the H dumping the heroine for the nude pictures. Bought: The Greek's Bride by Lucy Monroe.

The second is the twin who was in the pictures. She loses the baby because she was dumped by the hero because he was emotionally constipated or something. Can't remember now. Taken: The Spaniard's Virgin

Jayne Ann Krentz set a lot of her category romances in Seattle. Lynne Graham writes a lot of romances with landscaper heroines, but always in the UK.
Penny Jordan had a few prim heroines with nice underwear.

I can't think of a title at the moment, but it does sound familiar.

C | 44 comments [SOLVED] Hoping someone knows this HP. This scene takes place near the end. Hero rushes off to his estranged family after his brother dies. He was born a bastard so all he wanted was to be considered part of his aristocratic family. His snobbish former fiance married his brother. The Heroine is heavily pregnant and accompanies him to give support. Miss Former Fiance contrives to keep our Heroine in the furthest most inaccessible part of their mansion/castillo. Eventually the Heroine leaves but the Hero stays as his father tries to convince him he's his only remaining heir and will take his rightful place in the family. The Hero eventually realises he wants no part of the ugliness and only wants to be with the new family he's found with the Heroine and their baby.

C | 44 comments [SOLVED] Maybe someone can take a stab at this one. It's HP. Our couple meets at a pre-wedding party for another couple. Some doves are released and a bastard guest shoots one with an arrow so it injures its wing. It manages to land at a tower where our Hero is staying as a guest, far away from anyone else. The Heroine thinks it can be saved and the Hero thinks it's should be put down mercifully. Our couple shares one night and the Heroine ends up pregnant.

India Grey only wrote HP for 6 years, no idea if she still writes. I highly recommend all of her books - this one is very dark though. Might have to re-read, I didn't recall the dove part being caused by a wedding guest - although I remembered Lily following the injured dove.

YW - I'm ok with last 20 years. 90's - I'm terrible. 80's I read back then and only a handful since. India Grey only wrote about 10 books, highly recommend Mistress: Hired for the Billionaire's Pleasure - alas, it is quite dark too. And Her Last Night of Innocence

Alecia Robinson (alecia1990) | 30 comments Hello everyone, I am trying to find the name of this book that I read in high school 2005, I believe or around that time. It's about a ex beauty queen who meets her sister's ex boyfriend again. She had always secretly liked him. Anyway they start a secret relationship and she gets pregnant. The heroine was very distress because her sister was trying to conceive with her husband and was not able to, so the heroine knew that telling her sister about the relationship and pregnancy would be painful. At the end of the book though she finds out the sister was also pregnant so that works out in the end. I am not sure if this is a harlequin book either. I hope the description helps ans someone knows this book. Also just remembered that the hero made a scene at the heroine sister's wedding.

Poorvi | 302 comments Does anyone know this book:

The MCs have a son the hero is unaware of. He finds out when the boy contacts him. The son is far too smart and mature for his age, and sees his mother struggling to take care of him by herself and wants her to have some support. He sees a picture of the hero in the media and guesses he's the father because they look very alike, so he sends him a letter basically saying, "Hey, I think you're my dad!"

I found a book which refers to the h going to H's office to tell him about pregnancy and she doubles over in pain and starts to miscarry. H rushes her to hospital and she does in fact lose the baby. This is only referred to as something that happened 18 months prior. h was actually pregnant with twins and lost one of them. They meet up again and he finds out he is a father. Bound by Her Shocking Secret

*there are several books with a secret surviving twin but this is the only one I have read where the h is at H's office

Susan in Perthshire (susanageofaquarius) | 8 comments I hated both the h/H in The unwanted wife. Both of them were thoroughly unpleasant and I could not buy the idea that either of the loved the other. Such a fine line between fabulous angst and downright abuse. I think the author is too fond of cruelty. I felt uncomfortable after reading all three in the series. Not my idea of romance I’m afraid. 😧

Pinkz11 | 7 comments I don't remember the name of this book and the details are a bit hazy and may not be entirely accurate but it is a historical romance maybe sometime during the world war ( not sure about this ). The heroine disguises herself as a boy in order to work but I guess she gets into a fight with some other boys and the hero saves her and takes pity on her and gives her work to do on his land. The hero and the heroine get very close but the hero is baffled since he is attracted to a supposed boy and does not like feeling this way.He then finds out that the heroine is not a boy but a very pretty girl and decides to woo her instead. I sadly don't remember much after this.

Beverly | 5 comments FOUND THANK YOU
I am looking for a Harlequin book about a woman named Eve. She owns a plant store. A divorced father with a son in daycare moves into the house next door, She meets the dad when the little boy runs into her yard and calls her "Mommy". He pays her to care for the plants in his office, they fall in love and he gives her a necklace with an apple on it.
I think the book was called "Eve's apples" Or : Eves Garden".
I think I read it in 1999 or 2000. I have been looking for this book for years, any help I would be welcomed.

Poorvi | 302 comments Please help me find this book.

I only remember one scene.

The hero sees the heroine at a party. (It's not their first meeting though) He is told that the man she came with is married and not to her. This angers the hero at first but the heroine explains that the man is her brother in law, and she came with him in place of his wife because she was pregnant and on bed rest. I think the BIL and his wife may have been the MCs in a previous book.
