The Baby the Billionaire Demands

YW - someone asked about the series it was part of a few weeks ago.

It’s most likely an older Harley, as I’ve been been reading a lot of those lately.
I can only remember the last scene, and can’t provide any other details!
Here’s what I can recall - the last scene where the couple gets their hea - they go into their master bedroom together, it’s a canopy bed. The heroine closes the drapes on the bed (I think she does, anyway) and then she’s on top of him telling him how much she loves him.
This scene is significant because he’s a hard man that doesn’t show his feelings. She’s brought out his softer side, but only in private. Hence, he is relaxed and content with her in the privacy of their own private bed. Make sense?
Anyone recall this one? Please, and thank you!

I think its Michelle Reid- Gold ring of betrayal. it has a similar ending.

The hero finds out after his father's death that he (the father) has cheated on his mother many years ago and has a daughter from the relationship. We meet this daughter (who is not the heroine) later in the book and she's very angry over the fact that the father kept her and her mother a secret and at a distance, while the hero and his siblings and their mother had a loving relationship with him. He also finds out that the father had a more recent affair with a much younger woman and even mentioned her in his will. This woman is the heroine and she wasn't actually a mistress but a good friend of the father and he thought of her as a daughter, as a substitute for one who died as a child many years ago.
The book is a part of a series. The hero has at least two brothers, who have/will eventually have books of their own. One of the books in the series features their female cousin as one of the MCs as well. (This cousin also makes an appearance in this book)

Poorvi - is this a newer book/series? Are the brothers searching for their half sibling? Do you remember anything else?

Can anyone help me find this book?
It is probably around a 10 years old HP.
Rich good-looking Italian or Greek man marries a non suitab!e girl, both are youngish. His family doesn't like her.
She is pregnant and they are driving in the dark to his family home when there is a car accident and they both get thrown from the vehicle in opposite directions. The car is on fire and he tries to get to it to save his wife not realizing she is unconscious on the other side. He get a scar on his face and ends up unconscious also. The EMTs arrive and take them to the hospital. She is in a coma so they perform a c-section and save the baby boy. But his family inform him that his wife died. The family then ship the wife back to America and inform her that both her husband and baby died. Years later she has recover but wants to see their
graves so she goes back there.....and finds out he is still alive.
Does this strike any bells for anyone?
Thanks

So this is what I remember,
In chronological order:
- The hero and his siblings had a sister who died when they were children. This affected their parents relationship and their father had an affair that resulted in a daughter. He never told his family about them.
- The hero and his brothers all have different issues of their own stemming from the sister's passing and the way their parents subsequently behaved.
- The father never openly acknowledged the AP and child and the daughter grew up very resentful of the hero and his family because they got a father's love while she and her mother were ignored. The daughter grew up to be a singer of some kind I think.
- The father met the heroine at her place of work and they struck up a friendship. The heroine too was grieving over something and she saw the father as a paternal figure. The father gave her a ballerina figurine and sponsored a small holiday for her.
- The father dies and after his death the family finds out about his relationship with both the AP as well as the heroine. (I think the father leaves the heroine something in his will, but not sure of that) Going by past record the hero assumes the Heroine was also another of his father's affairs and he puts the worst interpretation on his father's actions. He also thinks the heroine is a gold digger.
- The hero is very keen on keeping the news about the heroine and dad's relationship leaking, so he decides to keep her with him (I don't remember how he does this)
- During this process they attend a performance by the half sister and she meets him later, expresses her hatred towards the father and tells him she never wants to see him again.
- I'm not sure of this plot point, I may be remembering a scene from a different book. BUT, the heroine falls in love with the hero, and she thinks he's starting to believe her innocence. They go out for a fancy night, and she's happy because it's her birthday and she's never had a birthday celebration for her before. But towards the end of the evening she finds out that the hero is still suspicious of her and is heartbroken.
- In an epilogue scene the half sister is said to be on her way to visit the family.
Also, I know this book is part of a series featuring the hero's siblings as MCs. A female cousin of the hero also makes an appearance in this book and I remember reading that one of the books in the series also features her as an MC.
I remember a LOT, but I have searched all my books and I cannot seem to find it.

1 The hero and siblings already know who the half sister is.
2 I think it's a relatively new series. Last time I read it it hadn't been completed. As in if the author was planning on featuring all the siblings in books of their own, then some siblings are still left.

Are you 100% that the father is dead? I know a very similar series where he tells his wife near the end about the affair, following death of child.

No - In that book the heroine worked in a cafe and had been friends with the hero’s father who had just died and the hero jumped to conclusions about her.

That post about "Helen of Troy" was by Aya not Poorvi. You need to click on the "reply" by the specific post.

Hi,
Can anyone help me find this book?
The heroine was a teacher, I think, and she went on vacation at her aunt's house, and her aunt suggested that she work extra work as a nanny for a neighbor who needs a nanny for his daughter, and she went to meet him, and when she entered the office, he told her that she looked like Helen of Troy.

Good find and a bargain 63 cents on Amazon this week. Not a Harlequin Presents book.

Thanks!

Looking for a slightly older book.
Setting - Australia
Heroine is a widow with a young child. In-laws are rich and aristocratic. Not wanting to have anything to do with the daughter-in-law. She starts working for the Hero to support herself and her child. Hero is in advertising/ publishing. He is not aware of the fact that she has a child until they have to take a business trip to the north to meet a client. The highlight of the book is the train travel on the east coast.
After the train ride my memory is a bit vague but I think that the Hero falls in love with the Heroine and proposes but the heroine turns him down.
Does anyone remember this book?

Hi, doesn't sound familiar. Are you sure it is a Harlequin Presents or a title from one of Harlequin's other series?

A lot of people think of Helen Brooks books as Aussie, not sure why, so a good suggestion. I remember that book and they do an east coast UK train trip.
Otherwise Pravana, if not that one, have a look through Miranda Lee books, often has Sydney, central coast, Newcastle, Port Macquarie in story. Other older 80's 90's Aussie authors could be Robyn Grady, Emma Darcy, Margaret Way, Valerie Parv & Helen Bianchin

Some more details…
The Hero moves in the same circles as the heroine’s in-laws and knows them or knows of them and through his intervention, the in-laws show some interest in getting to know their grandchild
The client whim they go to meet offers the Heroine a job. After some hesitation she quits her job with the hero and actually accepts the job offer from the client and moves up north.

The hero is having some issues in his relationship with the heroine and he's venting to his secretary but under the guise of a metaphor. The secretary who is generally a very professional lady, let's him have it using the same metaphor, something about waiting for a pretty red apple to just drop into his lap. (I think the red refers to the heroine's hair colour)
That's all I remember. Seriously, if anyone guesses this you're a genius.

The hero was a prince or king or some kind of leader of a frozen kingdom. He was marrying a person (I can't remember if she was a princess or something?) from a kingdom that was warmer. They were journeying to his kingdom. I remember a scene where they cross into the frozen land. She has some kind of power that she inherited from her mom. There is an evil spirit (?mage or sorcerer?) in a mountain that tried to kidnap her mother (who I believe is now dead) and is now trying to entrance and kidnap her to take control of her power... he is not dead but he is trapped in a ?trunk? and buried in the mountain. He speaks to her in dreams and telepathy. She is eventually taken to the mountain and the hero comes to her rescue. I know this sounds somewhat similar to The Winter King by C.L. Wilson but I have read that one thinking it might have been it and it was not. Any ideas would be awesome. Thanks!

Have you also posted on other threads? You may have better luck there. This is for Harlequin Presents readers (M&B books). There is a Historical line but your summary doesn't sound like anything that I've read published by Harlequin/M&B.

me too, did Kindle search, nothing coming up for apple falling, red apple falling etc etc.

Can I possible ask for another HP that I cannot find.......This book is somewhat similar to the other book that I was looking for but this book starts out with the H and h are married and they have one child and the h is pregnant with their second child. The H notices how unhappy the h is when she mentions how her brother in law (the H brother) is so attentive to his wife. The H realizes that maybe he hasn't been the best husband to his pregnant wife. His mother is overbearing and she forces the H/h to fly to weekly dinners which makes his wife sick since she has a difficult pregnancy and doesn't have the energy for these dinners. The H has had is head up his butt and finally realizes that maybe his wife isn't happy and she feels that he doesn't love her.. This is a really good book but I cannot remember the name of it. I would really some help. Thanks..

This is also Lucy Monroe - After the Billionaire's Wedding Vows...

Thanks so much!!! I could have sworn that the books were written by Carol Marinelli. No wonder why I couldn't find the books. Thanks so much.

The hero and heroine are married against the heroine's wishes. The first time she goes to their house, and is shown into their bedroom she sees the hero's former mistress has arranged to have a giant portrait of hers placed on their bed and her perfume splashed all over the sheets. The hero and several of their household staff are also present. The heroine gets angry and slaps him in front of all of them.
