Maybe The Fallen Greek Bride / At the Greek Boss's Bidding

Thank you so much! This is the one!

Heads up - The Fallen Greek Bride is book one of a series. Unfortunately - who knows why - the series stops at three books kinda leaving you hanging as to what happened with the other "Disgraced Copelands". Highly recommend the other part of the duo mentioned by Rom.

sounds interesting i would like to read this one

If you look on the bottom right of the post there's a flag and a reply button there.

can anyone recommend an HP where the H does not like the h cuz she is not that pretty at first and then she has a total make over and becomes really hot and suddenly the H not only does not recognize her but falls for her?
I want something like 'Duel of passion' by Madeleine Ker. Anyone? thanks xoxo

Searching for a book I read 2/3 years ago, the heroine and hero was married. The heroine was in a accident with her daughter and son. The hero find the heroine and his daughter in the hospital and the son was missing. The heroine has no memory of her, how she was in a accident and what happened. The hero was very angry of her because he thought she cheated or something (cant remember). At the end, it was revealed that the evil twin of her was the wife of the hero and she was not guilty whatever her crime was. He divorced the evil twin and married her.
Anyone any Idea?

I remember very little. The hero and heroine are together in the hero's house. The heroine is there against her own wishes, the hero is forcing her to remain there for some reason. Towards the end, the hero tells her she's free to leave, and goes into his (office/study/some other room). The heroine is about to leave when she hears a loud crash and goes to investigate and finds that the hero threw something in in a sad rage because he thought she left. He didn't really want her to go, but felt he'd wronged her by forcing her to stay. That's all I remember. Does anyone know this book?

Maybe is Journey Into Love of Jessica Logan

I even made a post about it on that other thread but with too many requests over there, I'm afraid mine will fall into oblivion.
As there seem to be several HP connoisseurs around this forum, I decided to made a post it here as well. Who knows, maybe someone will be able to figure out the puzzle.
It all started when I was looking for this book. Then I mixed up similar storylines from different books and ended up remembering other works until I finally made a mess in my brain LOL.
What I do know:
- It's a Silhouette/ Harlequin/ Mills & Boon Contemporary Romance.
- I believe it was originally published between the late 90's and the first decade of the 2000's. Give or take.
- It's a second chance romance. I cant't recall if they're a divorced or an estranged married couple, or even if they were high school sweethearts. What I'm sure is that they're no longer together in the current timeline.
- There's a scene where the male protagonist pays an unexpected visit at heroine's workplace, she gets distraught and sick, fails to reach the restroom in time and ends up throwing up on his expensive leather shoes.
- The female protagonist has an old lady friend who happens to be a doctor. Cannot remember if said friend is a GP, a shrink or an OB-GYN, but she knows the heroine’s medical history and provides counselling over the course of the story.
- I think the h is a jewellery designer but I'm inclined to believe that she also may be a fashion designer, an artist or some kind of artisan. What I do know is that she owns her own business/ workshop/ studio/ atelier.
What might be part of the plot, but I'm not so sure:
- Hero blackmails heroine into resume their relashionship. I'm not sure if he demands heroine to give him an heir or if he proposes they make a child in the old-fashioned way.
- Heroine dreams of being a mother but doesn't want to take a chance on a romantic relationship again. That’s why she starts to consider alternative routes to fulfil her wishes, such as going in pursuit of a donor in a sperm bank.
- I think she suffered a miscarriage in the past and I suspect their relationship didn't end up well at some point because of that fact.
- I entertain the idea that a (HIS or HER) powerful and evil father played an important role in their break-up, mainly because of their upbringing and class difference. I'm not sure if the hero starts off poor and the heroine lives comfortably and, when they meet again, he's no longer poor then. Or if she's the one from a humble background and he's a very rich guy.
It's none of those below:
Vows They Can't Escape by Heidi Rice
The Pregnancy Contract by Yvonne Lindsay
Bound as His Business-Deal Bride by Kali Anthony
Marriage on Demand by Susan Mallery
The Pregnancy Affair by Anne Mather
The Pregnancy Secret by Maggie Cox
The Greek's Marriage Bargain by Sharon Kendrick
If anyone could be of any assistance I would be very grateful.

Is it this one? The Greek's Chosen Wife

Is it The Italian's Revenge by Michelle Reid?

I checked The Greek's Chosen Wife by Lynne Graham out and it's not the one, but thank you so much for the suggestion! It makes no mention of the only scene I remember with some sort of certainty. I'm referring to the one where the male protagonist pays an unexpected visit at heroine's workplace, she gets distraught and sick, fails to reach the restroom in time and ends up throwing up on his expensive leather shoes. I think she's already pregnant by that time or undergoing some form of fertility treatment.

Maybe Bride for Real which is a two part with The Marriage Betrayal I don't remember the shoe part though.

Sadly, this isn't the one I'm looking for. Nor are the following:
The Markonos Bride by Michelle Reid
Pregnancy of Passion by Lucy Monroe
Contract with Consequences by Miranda Lee
The Marriage Renewal by Maggie Cox
I spent the weekend checking out lots of books and came to the conclusion that finding one from a monthly series like Harlequin is hard work, especially because many of them have similar plots.
I'm inclined to believe the scene I've described above belongs to a storyline and the elements involving the old friend/ lady doctor belong to another one. I don't know...
For a matter of reference, at the beginning of Stolen for My Spanish Scandal by Jackie Ashenden, there's a scene just like the one I mentioned in my other post.

Reminds a lot of Seven Year Itch by Sarah Curtis. It's not a HP and the h is a stay-at-home mom, though.

Found it!!! Honestly, I was about to give up looking for this one 'cause I wasn't sure if I got things mixed up.
It's The Baby Bonus by Metsy Hingle.
I can stop making myself crazy now. Thanks for all your suggestions and tips.

That's not the one. Thanks.

HP or Silhouette from mid-to-late 1990s - I may be a bit off on the date, but I believe the cover was the white Harlequin Presents or the Silhouette white with gray stripes cover. I
don’t remember the author’s name.
Female MC’s name is Margaret or Meg, I think. The male MC’s name may be Ezekiel.
She’s a rural schoolteacher who lives with her mother or grandmother. He’s a local farmer she’s had a crush on, and he asks her to teach him how to read. They meet at her house for his lessons. A neighbor woman who is trying to gain his interest learns he’s visiting Meg/Margaret and spreads rumors, so he proposes marriage, supposedly to save Meg’s reputation.
I believe Meg/Margaret wore a pink nightgown or dress on the book cover.

Do you remember why he lied about where he was?

Is it The Nesting Instinct by Elizabeth August?

He was having lunch with a headhunter, who was a beautiful blonde (the wife is brunette). He didn't tell his wife because he had no interest in the job he was being offered. When his wife asked where he had been, he lied and so she thought he had a romantic interest for the blonde. She decides to test him by wearing a disguise and calling herself Mary but he recognizes her immediately by her legs and thinks she's playing some kind of game. It goes on for a few weeks and I remember they have sex (in disguise) at a posh hotel. He just thinks it's a fun game, while she's devastated by his "betrayal". You have both pov during the whole book.

Sorry that I can't help you. Don't remember reading any book with that plot. Hope someone recognizes it.

Me too. Thanks!

I'm honestly curious to find out this one! Sadly the info you have given wasn't enough for me to find it in any search book database I've tried. I hope someone can solve it.

Is the mistress the heroine or not?

Thank you.

Yes! The mistress is the heroine.

I am looking for a book, unfortunately I do not know the title or the heroes' names in it. Some clues for you are maybe that was written around late 90s and allegedly is H Desire...it was from the thicker paged harlequin type of romance books at least...
Here is how story unfolds though:
There's these two rival sisters (maybe twins?) that fall in love with the same boy. Story first begins from their childhood, one sister seems to be the good character the other the evil, and the more promiscuous. The good sister firstly meets this young boy-cowboy in their neighborhood that gets reeeally fancinated of. She even fantasizes about him all the time.... There's this scene engraved in my mind, where that good sister and that cowboy get together under a tree and their first sexual tension unfolds. Very vivid scene.
The then bad sister, though, since wants attention (even though has plenty of from many suiters and boys) she just wants to ruin her sister's flame out of spite.
So the good sister backs down, silently longing for the boy, and the bad one forms a relationship with said boy. (I believe there is some unwanted pregnancy involved).
Then we are taken some years forward, where the good sister - heroine returns to hometown after many years looking for her evil sister (she was gone for a long time).
And this, now all handsome, much older cowboy, owner of some ranch, I believe, meets our heroine and takes community's responsibility of showing her around, settling her into a temporary home or something.
Rest is history, the spark is still there, some resolutions come to an end, as it seems he was always in love with her and the pregnancy news of him and heroines sister were completely false or something.
I do not recollect much about the ending but I do believe both sisters finally get together and patch things up. Also our good heroine and the hero-cowboy finally get together.
If anyone has any kind of clue, let me know because I am at wits end....
Kind regards Rafaella.

It’s not the one I was looking for, but I’m loving it. Thank you!

The Hero is in some kind of a legal battle. His lawyer warns him that for the next few weeks/months his public image needs to be squeaky clean. The heroine works in a hotel and is somehow tricked into being seen in a compromising situation with the hero by a relative of the person who is on the opposite side of the hero's legal case. So he coerces the heroine to either marry him or pretend to be his fiance for a little while. We find out much later that the legal case is over the custody of a child and the hero is quite desperate because the child's current guardians are bad people.
