Thank you so much. It worked

Looking for possible Harlequin Intrigue book? I must have read it around 2004 or 2005. I believe it was a trilogy about 3 italian brothers? I think I remember the cover being a bare chest with a cross necklace. I remember one of them rescues a girl he has been in love for a while and she has a scar in her back.

See post from Iris on 31st Aug with search instructions by cover on fictiondb. I had a quick look through 2003-2005 but none of the bare chests had crosses. This group is for Harlequin Presents / Modern - seems to get queries for many H lines.

I need help finding an old Mills and Boon book.
I read it around 20 years back. Hero and Heroine are cousins. Hero inherits heroine's father's estate in England as women cannot inherit and heroine's half brother is illegitimate so he cannot inherit. I think Hero lives in America. Hero and Heroine sleep together. Hero goes back to America. When he comes back he finds out that the heroine is pregnant and he marries her and takes her with him. He fell in love with her at first sight.
Thank you
Monika

It might be this one: A Past Revenge

Trying to appear more sophisticated like his friends, heroine gets all her long hair chopped off. On the way home, during heavy rain storm, she gets mugged, drenched, lost and has to walk a long way back to apartment. The H has to let her go, knowing that big city life has broken her. She moves back to the farm. They reconcile when H moves his business to nearest city so that he can commute when necessary and they can live HEA on the ranch.

Hi Sana, are you sure this is an HP?
This is very similar to Sylvia Day's The Stranger I Married.
Only difference is, it's not an HP, the heroine is older to the hero, but only by a few years, and he does go away, but not to finish his studies.

I had posted about these before, but had no luck. Re-posting again incase someone has recently read or seen. If anyone remembers one of these at all I'd be very grateful.
1. The heroine goes to meet the hero to talk to him about her sister who is pregnant, and is stating the father is the hero's soon to be BIL, who has previously had a reputation as a playboy, but has supposedly mended his ways since he met the hero's sister. The hero's had reservations but the dude seems to make his sister happy. The sister is emotionally or physically fragile and hearing that the fiance may have cheated on her could cause her a major set back. Turns out the baby daddy was actually the hero's older brother and the confusion occurred because of a name mix-up.
2. The heroine gets pregnant by the hero via a one night stand, but for a change, while she's willing to have the child, she does not want to keep it, and is willing to give up full custody to the hero post delivery, and is staying with the hero for the duration of the pregnancy. Turns out this due to some trauma she has owing to the fact that her foster sister has a debilitating genetic disease.
3. It starts with the heroine being jilted at the altar by her fiance. He just does not show up at the church. It's a very embarrassing and traumatizing event for the heroine. The hero is someone the heroine already knows, he's either a good personal friend or a family friend. The heroine's family is mostly supportive (I say mostly because I don't remember if there were any jerks). In the end there's a scene where the hero and heroine are to be married in the same church and the hero is a little late reaching the venue. Still in time, just slightly later than expected. So defying tradition, he goes to the bride's room to personally reassure her he's arrived because he knows something like this would bring up bad memories for her.

Yess, this is the one. Thank you so much Poorvi!

Yes. This is the book. Thank you!

Hi @Pranathi
Thanks for trying, but no that's not it. I've read the book you mentioned, (Can't remember the name either LOL). But there's some key differences.
- It's not a sheikh book.
- The heroine's sister thinks it's the hero's BIL who got her pregnant. (It wasn't a deliberate deception, some sort of a name mix up I think)
- The BIL who used to be a playboy is now reformed and very much in love with the hero's sister, and they're either newly married or about to get married and finding out that he cheated on her could cause her a major health setback. For that reason the hero is very keen on keeping the matter very quiet.
- The heroine goes to speak to the hero because HER sister is unable to travel due to pregnancy, so she's not in hiding exactly
- In the end when the pregnant sister and BIL come face to face is when they all realise that the baby daddy is someone else.
Additional info:
This book was also adapted into a harlequin pink manga. But I can't find that now either.

I am looking for a book where the heroine in order to impress a new doctor in her father.s practice goes for a mountain climbing trip to learn about mountain climbing. It turns out to be an extreme trip and the hero who comes from a very rich family but has forsaken all that for the love of climbing and nature. The hero knows the heroine.s step brother who calls her princess brat… in the end she rescues the hero when he goes climbing alone and breaks his leg and is being dragged down the mountain by his friend called yogurt.

The Habit Of Loving Rosemary Hammond

The Hero and heroine are in an affair when the Hero breaks it off because he is set to marry someone his family deems a right fit for him. This devastates the heroine and in her depressed state she decides to marry as well and breaks up another relationship. I do know this other relationship is also an HP book but im unsure if it is by another author or the same one.
I do remember a scene where the heroine arrives to the home of the other relationship. She finds the woman from the other relationship and informs her the man will soon break things off with her because he is enganged to the heroine, and this drives the woman away in a state of tears.
I believe it is set somewhere in the 90s or post 2000s. There is a possibility it might be a book from the Desire line as well.
That is unfortunately all I can remember but I hope it is enough! Thank you!

Thank you very much reeder (reviews) for identifying the book for us. Yamileth confirmed here that that was the book she was looking for:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I remember that a women marries a man from a higher social class (I want to say he is some type of nobleman in Europe). They get married and she has a baby but because the family traditionally lets the nanny care for the baby, she starts to develop anxiety around her baby because she is not allowed to care for the baby outside of breast feeding. She ends up leaving to get therapy, and then comes back to take care of her baby. However her husband doesn't know that she left to get therapy and thinks she abandon her family.
If anyone can think some book titles that may match this story, please let me know. Thank you.

I wish I remembered more but that basic plot is fairly unique, I think...I certainly remember it!

Sounds like “The Judas Kiss”"
THAT IS THE ONE. I was looking through Lynne Graham's books but that was because the h's name was Lyn. Almost there...*facepalm* So quick! Thank you!

Hi Monika, not sure if you're still looking for this but Mistaken For A Mistress sounds like a candidate? It involves a illegitimate half-brother and an inheritance. Italian-style though.

Maybe A Willing Surrender by Robyn Donald?
Or Tiger In His Lair by Sally Wentworth?
The hero in Charlotte Lamb's Obsession has a serious snog with the heroine's married sister...in front of the heroine.
Vintage Harleyand is filled with heroes who have had past relationships with their heroines' now-married sisters who now want to reclaim the hero, regardless of their married state (see: Grounds for Marriage by Daphne Clair, and I feel like I should be able to name a Lynne Graham book that fits this mold, but I am blanking).

Another candidate: Lovers in the Afternoon by Carole Mortimer

The pivotal scene is when he's waiting in the apartment and she comes in, but doesn't see him. She makes herself a hot drink, sits down, and then he makes himself known.
That's all I remember.

YES!! It was A Willing Surrender. Those other books look interesting too. Thank you!

The book begins with the H being blackmailed by his father into marriage with the daughter of his business associate. (The H's father had a medical problem recently i think but jou really sure) The H loves a house owned by his father and was always promised that he would have it. But now his father wants him to marry the h to get the house. The h is shy/sweet. I think that the H and h knew each other and didn't really have any romantic feelings for each other. I remember that the H had the h decorate the house. So i think she could br an interior designer (not sure). The h is forced into this marriage by her father who is a crook and who wants to cheat the H and his family. The h finds out about this after marriage to the H and threatens to expose her father to the H if he doesn't confess. But before the h can confess about her father's deeds. The H and his family find out about the h's father and they accuse the h of colluding with father to cheat the H and his family. I think the h is pregnant then and genuinely in love with the H and vice versa. I don't remember what happens later.
Can anybody help me find this book? I think it is part of a series. The H is the middle brother. His elder brother is already married and they want to adopt a child. He has a separate book i think. And the younger brother doesn't want to get married. But the father has plans for him too, i think.
I read this a few years back. This book could written be anywhere b/w late 90's to late 2000. I really have no idea.

This is an old HR. Heroine is a secretary or PA, who believes she is in love with her boss, but her boss doesnt give her second looks. The other partner of her boss, our H, also the brother of h's boss promises to help h. H is widower i think. There is that makeover thing, boss starts noticing h, but she falls in love with the brother and vice versa. There is this plane crash scene at the ending, its H's parents anniversary and they hear that the plane H is handling went down.
Anyone remembers the name? Thanks in advance
