Hi Moonz. I looked that one up and its not it but that's a good book too!

She loves Paolo (who is something like 10 years older), but now she is pregnant with another’s man child and he is engaged. Paolo takes care of her, and then her newborn daughter, and in the end they get married (obviously)

It's not an exact match but this sounds a lot like An Insatiable Passion by Lynne Graham. It's got the maid heroine, heir hero, pregnancy, break up because of the mom telling the 'step-sister' lie and miscarriage.

TIA.

sounds like:
Close Relations

Unfortunately it's not the same book but it looks interesting also and I put it on my reading list.
l found it, it's Close Relations by Lynsey Stevens

Need to find a book. It starts with the kidnapping of the lead couple's baby. The h and H are estranged because the H believes that h has cheated on him and the baby she has had is not his. So he has separated her in a residence and she is watched all the time. But in the end it turns out that the baby was his and he was deceived by his own father i think.

I second that! I never understood why either never demanded a DNA test!

Great, I hope you enjoy it, it's a good one. I'm also glad you found the one you were looking for.

Not an exact match but Judith Mcnaught's Something Wonderful seems to have a lot of elements you described.

Not this one. Thanks for helping 🙂

This is a part of a series and another story also has similar theme.
In that the hero makes suggestive comments to another woman to prove his flirting power at a ball in front of the h but immediately regrets. Then H flees to the country side and the heroine follows and they reconcile . 👀 looking for the title of that one too..
Hope that someone can remember the title.
Thanks.

I think you would do better searching for historical romances in one of the other threads on goodreads. This is for Harlequin Presents and not everyone who reads Harlequin Presents also reads historical romances.
Hope you find your book!

Thanks. I will try that.

Let me know if you find it. This book sounds interesting.

Is it Olivia Gate's Claiming His Secret Son?

StM - love your review of book one in that series - I might have to re-read. Smelling salts handy of course.

Ha! Even though I didn't like them all that much I remember them! So her story telling really does stick with you!

I once read a HP novel about some married couple (the husband is italian) and they have twins, a girl and boy (i think the baby girl is called Claudia) and at some point they were hap..."
Marriage In Peril

The Paternity Claim

I remembered the title🙂
Always the bridesmaid by Emily EK Murdoch.
Hope you enjoy it.

I read a book several years ago that was my grandmas that I have been thinking about, but can't remember the name. It was about twin ladies and one of them gets pregnant but is having some complications or something so she sends her sister to talk with the father while pretending to be her. The guy has amnesia, but it ends up being one of his brothers (who I think was also a twin possibly) who was pretending to be him that the sister was pregnant by. There was issues with phone service or something, so the sister wasn't able to talk to her sister for a bit. She had only been given a name. This took place around Christmas time I believe and there is some contest from the father of the brothers to see who could have a grandchild first. And the main character of the book is attacked by other members of the family. I remember there specifically was a scene where her car was rigged to catch on fire, but they warmed it up for so long it happened while at the house. The three brothers and their father are not very close.
Does anyone know what book this is please?

1. The h and H are out for dinner in the first scene. And the h simply walks out on the H when he tells her she is just his mistress or some..."
Book 2 might be:
Savage Surrender by Charlotte Lamb

Sorry I can't help you. This doesn't sound like any Harlequin Presents that I've read.
Good luck finding your book!

I read a book several years ago ..."
Have to agree, sounds like a Desire series I read a few years ago, not one book. Abby Green has The Mediterranean Billionaire's Blackmail Bargain where sister is pregnant to hero's brother who looks like him - she wrongly accuses him of abandoning her sister. NONE of the other parts fit though. I do recall reading competing siblings book/series to produce first grandson, however I don't remember much - only heroine was pregnant story was around the gender - male heir inherits the company. Perhaps the Dante's inferno series?

I am looking for the following, unfortunately I don’t remember much:
Hero and heroine have been married years ago. They went to the Niagara Falls for their honeymoon. Something goes wrong, I believe either the H or the h believe (or both) believe they were cheated on (not sure in that part). They divorce. Years later, the hero has leverage (something with his job?) and he forces the heroine in marrying him again. He is pretty cruel. She gets pregnant. But in the end, she discovers that all the time he kept pictures she drew on their honeymoon and they both realize they loved and still love each other.
Thanks!

H is an academic and remarried a most "perfect" woman (elementary school teacher) and they have a baby.
Story begins when an enraged father storms the classroom and throws down the wife, whose head splits open and she dies! i don't recall any other introduction that is so startling. The H is struggling with child care and lecturing and somehow after the h calls him to offer condolences, it works out that she comes to help him.
Her daughter is very antagonistic towards her and nothing the h explains sways he as she loved her step-mother dearly and wants no part of the h.
Of course, during the course of events the H and h fall back in love, the h has a position at the local elementary school and the daughter is NOT Having IT! She somehow persuades her mother to stop taking her medication and of course the predictable outcome ensues, She has a breakdown, at school, and all hell breaks loose.
I can't recall, but I think she leaves the H but he and the daughter go after her, and all's well that ends well.
Rings any bells?
I'd really love to read this again. TIA

This doesn't sound familiar to me. Do you remember about what year this was published? Do you remember what the cover looked like?

Some of it sounds like Purchased for Revenge by Julia James. But, the h's mother used the family home to care for kids with illnesses - like the h's little brother.

From what I can remember, the heroine was a newly-hired secretary for a guy named Max, whom she found very attractive. Max also was attracted to her as well but there's a sort of hindrance to their office romance, Max's brother or cousin named Rory. I remember they mutually don't like each other but I think there was some hidden desire there as well. So, I didn't get to finish the book so I wasn't able to find out who she really ended up with. I hope you can help. I think it's a harlequin.

It's the one. Thank you so much!!!

You're welcome! Glad I could help.

From what I can remember..."
