Are there any other details you remember? I'm pretty sure it is not a Michelle Reid...but other details would help :-)

This rings a bell in my mind which makes me think that it might be a Lynne Graham because I'm a pretty heavy reader of LG. I'll do some searching. But then again, I could just be crazy... ;-)
There are a couple of LG's that come to mind...but I don't have them to scan thru...looking forward to the answer!
Huh, there's a Mary Balogh novel in which this happens and I think the name was even Bobby. But it was her dead son, not her brother.

Maleka asked about this book on the intro thread:
Can anybody help with the name of this books. I found in another Blog:
Looking for this book I read back in the mid 90's. I think it was from the 80's.
H was a CEO and wanted a baby, but didnt want to get married or adopt do he decides to find himself a surrogate from his executives. Calls a board meeting and asks his friend to bring in his baby. During the meeting the baby starts to cry. All other executives are embarassed and look at the friend who is trying to make the baby stop crying. The H walks over and takes the baby and gets him to quieten down by undoing her bracelet and dangling it like a mobile in front of the baby. From that gesture the H believes that he has found the right woman. He takes the H to dinner and explains his plan to her. She agrees. Dont remember much except that the H as two dogs black labs? called Napoleon and Josephine.

I can't remember the name name of the book I read a while ago. The plot is roughly mentioned below.H/h meet on an island and fall in love (probably only the guy at this stage).
Some idyllic time is spent after which the h walks out on the Hero.
Sometime later they meet again in the corporate world and the hero actually turns out to be pretty rich (not the peasant he had earlier claimed to be)
Rest of the story follows with a HEA.
Any help in recalling the book's title would be appreciated.
I have tried other forums as well.
Hopefully I will find it.
TIA

I can only think of Pleasured by the Secret Millionaire but I don't think they meet again in the corporate world- the hero's a doctor so doesn't sound like your book.

Sounds like Sara Craven - The tycoon's mistress.Fisherman hero turns out to be Greek billionaire who saves the day.
The Tycoon's Mistress
@ Lululemon: The Hero was not a doctor.. i m pretty sure.He was a businessman , a young one on a break.@ Verity: I will read The Tycoon's Mistress once to see if its the one.
I remember the back cover blurb of the book had words like "she met him on the other side of the desk " or "the other end of the world".
I tried googling but no results! :(
Thanks you guys for your responses.
When Lovers Meet, Deep Harbour, Island Enchantment, The Greek's Secret Passionall of these have something like what you mentioned, but not all....any other details would help
@3meg: it is not a very old one.it can be from the extra line... I m not sure.Even though the h leaves the H There is no theme of betrayal in the book. That crosses out The Tycoon's Mistress
Its also not The Greek's Secret Passion or Island Enchantment
I will check the others out. Thanks for the response.
Knowing it is not very old helps...I will keep lookingAlso, the no betrayal makes me wonder if it is an HP...hahaha

Darn those mullets. It seems as though they were fairly common in the 80-90s.

I remember thinking the cover was terrible....the hair!!! I had trouble not thinking about it while reading, but that is me.
There was a Penny Jordan HP from the 80's that I couldn't remember the name of. I was coming in here to ask for your amazing help (you ladies rock), but then decided to go through FictionDB to see if I could track it down myself. Oh the memories... : (I eventually found it and thought I would share it with it you all. One of my favorite Penny Jordan's.
Now to track it down. Any suggestions? No luck on the kobo website, my public & online library or Harlequin.com.
You can purchase this for US$4.00 from a couple of used bookstores I found by searching Amazon. They are all in the US though so if you're not from here that may not work for you. Good luck.
Thanks Jacqueline! I live in Canada, but would love a hard copy, so hopefully they will ship. (Curses my decluttering sprees over the years!!) I also don't care that it's used. I always forget about Amazon. Thanks again for the tip.
I just looked through my HP stash and I have it! I'm going to start it tonight on your recommendation.
Sheila, I have an ebook copy of this book. I haven't read it yet but based on your rec will put it at top of my tbr list. If you have an ereader I can send you a copy to your email. Let me know.

This book sounds interesting. I hope someone can come up with title/author.

The book is an anthology Marriage by Design: Dear Fairy Godmother / Marriage on the Run / Don't Tell Grandfather / The Enchanted Bride by Cathy Gillen Thacker. The specific story is Don't Tell Grandfather.
I don't get credit, an anonymous lurker (possibly The Shadow, as in only The Shadow Knows) emailed me with the info. So no prizes for me except it's nice to have good friends.

Someone posted this request at "what's that book" and I know I've read it recently and it's an HP... anyone recognize it?"there was a lady who fell in love with the guy from the family her mother
worked for as a house help. the guy had to leave to go school (i think)
and the lady found out she was pregnant. she wrote him a letter telling
him that she was pregnant, and when she went to post it, one of his family
friend who wanted him for herself told her that she would post it for her
but she didn't. instead she gave it to the guy's father and the father
paid her to have and abortion. the lady didn't and left her home because
she felt abandoned even her mother sided with her employer on the
abortion. 10 yrs later ( i think) the lady had to go back and look after
her mother only to meet with her former lover and her son's father but she
didn't tell him that she had her son. the guy whose name is Jason ( i
think) eavesdropped on her talking to her son and she signs of by telling
him " I love you" but her jumps to the conclusion she is talking to her
current boyfriend and he gets all jealous"
I am reposting this one, because I am really interested in the answer...I wanna read this one!I hope you can help with the following book search. It is a Harlequin Presents book.
The heroine calls out for "Bobby" in her sleep and the hero gets jealous because she said another man's name. It turns out that she was dreaming about her brother who died. The brother might have been a paraplegic or had some other debilitating desease, not sure though.
Someone on another board suggested a Carole Mortimer book but that is not it because I never read that particular CM book but I did read a book with that scene. I am pretty sure that it is either a Michelle Reid or Lynne Graham book. Other possible authors would be Jacqueline Baird and Sarah Morgan.
I think I read it between 2000-2009.
I've been going through my books but no luck so far so I thought to ask for your help and thank you in advance.
Thank you for trying to help.

I read this book not to long ago
The book Willaful was looking for is as 3meg said The Dark Side of Desire by Michelle Reid. I just pulled it up on my ereader and read the first few pages to be sure. It was a really good angsty read I might have to re-read it.
